I wonder why they put DTS 5.1 tests on youtube, if they are useless...

On first page, in Kernel 3.1 info, I read: "USB OTG port selected in host mode by default".
What does this mean?
Can it be because of this that I get the error message: "Sorry, current OTG USB device format is not supporte, it supports only FAT32 now" when i connect my 1TB usb NTFS hard disk?

On original minix rom it was working, on finless 1.9 and qs3.1 it does not work, and I can't understan why.
I also have a 16GB NTFS usb pendrive and a 80GB NTFS hard drive, and they work without any problem...

Edit: uhm... after googling that looks ok. i will try to change the usb cable, let's see...

yes, ntfs works great for me too, OTG in host mode has nothing to do about this problem.

I always used it on wdtv live and on MK809 II, I'm quite sure that I tried it on X7 stock rom too and it was ok, but on finless and QS I can't manage to make it work.
other drives are ok, this one, that is the main one, nothing.
In ES something like USB007 (number changes) is shown, when i click on it I get a message asking if i want to allow es explorer to access it, I click yesy and I get "Sorry, current OTG USB device format is not supporte, it supports only FAT32 now"
I still have to try to change the cable... I tried the drive on a pc and it's ok.
It's really strange that I'm the only one having this problem, but this means that it's something related to my hardware/config.

I don't have any other problem, after switching home to nova everything looks perfect.

The Airplay Pro app that is included with the Minix ROM itself is licensed only for use on their ROM... you can purchase it on the Play Store if you wish to use it on other ROM's.

Other Rockchip apps can be downloaded and installed if you wish... see the second post in the thread for a link to those.

Yes strange problem... I tried in all the ports, including the micro one, and also using a powered USB hub. I still have to try another cable, the spare one that I had at home does not fit the connector on the disk.
Really annoying problem, but not directly dependent on the rom if I am the only one...

I'll chime in just to say I'm using a 2Tb hard drive also formated NTFS without issue on any of the three regular USB ports I've tried it on... didn't try it on the micro USB port.

I'm at a loss to explain it unless it's got an unusual MBR or partition issue such as can be found with certain infections ( like a rootkit as one type )

thank you for your help. that's what i've already encountered. but i thought i did it wrong. with quick shot's prior rom i could use this airplay pro app as far as i remember.

Yes, we made it works for the qs2 (qs2 was a mod of the minix official rom), but we are not sure if it is 100% legal because V3 are a complete different rom so we didn't include it in V3 versions of the rom, (In qs2 we included it only for minix devices); sorry a lot but if we are not sure that is 100% legal to include it, we don't include

1. Leolas: perhaps you could put a quick guide in OP on editing build.prop correctly to get AirPin working? Because all it requires is one simple edit. Don't think that should be a problem legal-wise? The question comes up a lot. Once build.prop is edited it works fine...

2. I can report that I have managed to get WifiDisplay (Miracast) working on QS3.1 using (http://www.freaktab.com/attachment.p...8&d=1389939370) version of the APK and with an LG Optimus G (stock), and LG G2 (stock) KitKat ROMs.

I could not get it working using Cyanogenmod etc. Only with Stock ROMs.

It doesn't work quite as well as using my LG Miracast dongle - using the X7 the stream is a bit choppier. But it works OK.

(Does anyone know if there is an update verson of the WifiDisplay app on the new Minix "Kitkat" ROM?)

3. Team, any possibility of adding all the root/HDMI detection blocking low level features that Minix have put in the latest stock ROM? E.g. release keys v test keys, etc, see here http://minixforums.com/threads/4-4-f...se.8699/page-7
