My M9Pro have no problem like described above, regarding this Rom or with older one (including JellyBean) with stock kernel.
I have seen this kind of failures only when I'm flashing various kernel undervolted "low" or "very_low"
I'm thinking ..both of you should check if issue persist with kernels provided in earlier posts by cshock2010. This is not a ROM fault, it must be a "hungry" CPU a little undervolted by stock kernel's.
Both should ask cshock2010 which one will overvolt a little CPU (the red ones with "high" in description will do this certainly but is pretty risky) or maybe could make one custom kernel with default frequencies and a little more voltage for this CPU type:

      My experience

      Hi all,

Thus far I have been using RR 3.0 with the latest modified 407(1608 standard 720) kernel by cshock2010 with no problems at all. I was previously running 2.7.2 with the first 407 kernel that cshock2010 had made which caused me some reboots.
I have the 3.0 installed for 3 days now with A LOT of multitasking(20 apps) for testing purposes and the results where excellent, no lag or reboots at all.

*Notice : 2.7.2 was snappier on the home screen on Nova launcher

      Will update in some days

        Test results with different kernels

I've been trying various overclocked to 1704/600/768 kernels on my Pipo M9 Pro running RR 3.0.1.

        406 standard voltage: Antutu 21000
        407 standard voltage: Antutu 19240
        386 standard voltage: Antutu 17900
406 low voltage: Antutu 19249 - that's what I'm using now, to see if it is stable.

It's a bit of a pain switching between them, because I find it extremely difficult to get the Advanced Wipe button to work in TWRP, but I managed in the end. Is there a secret to getting these buttons to work?

I may go back to the first I tried, though!

You can flash the kernel with the ROM_Flash_Tool_137, just flash the kernel and uncheck everything else. But take a look at this app, should work on our tablets: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....recoverytools

            NFS support

Could someone, please, tell if one of the kernels mentioned earler in that thread (386, 406, 407) has NFS support?
To check that one can execute the following command in terminal:
            Code:
            $ cat /proc/filesystems | grep nfs
If some output will be shown then please report your kernel version.

              No, not on this machine.

                3G problem

Hello, I posted this on other thread, but now i have this ROM and still have the problem so i post it here. I had a problem with 3G on 4.2.2, so i decided to flash 4.4.2 on my Pipo M9 pro 3G. I insert the SIM card and start the device (it doesn't ask for PIN code, i don't know it is right). I turn on modem power. An empty triangle appear on the status bar, but after a few seconds it disappear. If i go back to modem power it is unchecked. Any solution, or is this hardware problem?

Have you tried flashing kernel with that? I seriously doubt that it will work on kernel.img files.
That should work if kernel is in boot.img, I think.

To be honest i didnt try it with kernels, just recoveries. i prefer using ROM_Flash_Tool_137 anyway. If you want i could test it after work, i dont mind putting my tablet in masked mode if everything fails.... again...

Any 9 Pro considering the P1??

                        Hey All,
I think I might be selling my M9Pro. I have someone at work who wants it. Then I think I might grab the new Pipo P1 (RK3288). As we all know the Pipos need big help in the ROM area. And with RR and BF, they are the Pipo Whispers....
RR , I thought I read you might be getting a P1, is that correct?
If so, do you thing we maybe down the custom ROM path with the new RK3288, specifically the P1 soon?
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

Pipo is awfully proud of their P1...at $300. I do plan to order one...one of these days. But they aren't currently available yet. We shall see what their firmware actually looks like when they release it. All of their techs are busy working on it...so there aren't any updates to their other products right now. I'm getting bored.

I will wait for a few reviews on the P1 before ordering it. But I know the P1 is already a winner/beast! RK3288 is a very capable SOC chip (lagging is a thing of the past now) maybe I can also get it slightly cheaper on aliexpress too 😁

The cheapest i've seen is on Ali $.250 for the non 3G version.

I think it would be better to go to the Pipo P1 and P8 tablets with RK3288 thread for the P1 discussion.
