Also ISPs rate their speeds under maximum preformance which are never met. They also throttle during prime hours and are also slowed down with larger suscription density/area. your best way to analyze your speed (to see if its a rom issue) is to run speed test on multiple devices on the same network and compare results amongst the similar devices. if they vary significantly after repeated testing around the same time of day/night then you can come up with a conclusion.

theres some info. there are many variables to many speedtest tests. by the way is it possible to simultaneously multithread with 2.4 ghz, 5 ghz, and ethernet on android? i know superdownload from the play store utilizes 3g and wifi. Someone needs to work on that and cut me in on the profits!@µ$ł!Ω

I use Iperf to test the RJ45 port only apart from other factors.
It's a moon project for simultaneously multithread with 2.4 ghz, 5 ghz, and ethernet on android..Just my opinion.Easy way to catch LOG -> Search 'Syslog' in Google Play, then install it and catch log

that's why I've been pushing for an dual boot android/full linux distro preferably ubuntu to please the make everyone content. Stanislav's AMLinux is the best and most stable running xbmc I've ever used on a box. I've noticed colabiration/contributions amongst all devs on the latest firmware for 108k4. I realize the difficulty in producing a dual boot or simultaneous boot of android/ubuntu (like ubuntu devs have done with nexus devices). I'm content with the progress all of you have done. Everything is SO much better than 101k4. But idealy xbmc on linux (stanes AMLinux) is far better than any xbmc droid will come close to in years. That's what most people use these boxs for. However, lack of apps, browsers, and system configs are taunting me with xbmc linux. It would rock to get all of the awesome devs we have on here to stop pushing their own firmware and unite to create a super s802 rom on git. All of you kernel and rom devs have heard the working the bad and the ugly and your projects have already been pushed into 108k4. Do the same on omaleowasstaneless super rom and take ideas from each thread. I understand the impossible but after the progress I've seen I see the possible of a badass dual android/ubuntu rom. Regardless I'm content and happy. Thanks again all!@µ$ł!Ω

in his AMLinux thread he mentioned he's dealing with personal issues so I don't want to bother him, but next time you reach him can you ask if its possible to use a full linux distro. He mentioned on slatedroid someone made an ubuntu 12.04 distro on a m802 tablet. I wouldn't mind the system partition size increase. I believe most of us have tf (sd) or extra usb storage anyway.@µ$ł!Ω

The decoding of dts/dolby for S802 feature posted in OP is confusing mostly because users claim it is built in, can someone plase clarify this.
if this is true then there is no need to buy expensier S802B box or S802-H, right? but i don't think that is the case.
I own a tronsmart vega elite and was looking to purchase a -B or -H box and a 5.1 sound bar or sound system, THAT IS WHY I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE SPEND IN OTHER BOX and as you can see i don't have how to test dolby/dts decoding...
someone properly explain please
There are 3 different CPUs:
1) S802 no Dolby-Digital(AC3) or DTS hardware decoding
2) S802-B (S802D) with Dolby-Digital(AC3) but not DTS hardware decoding
3) S802-H (S802DD) with Dolby-Digital(AC3) and DTS hardware decoding

Is iit real hardware decoding or it's software decoding built in?, i mean can i open mxx player or other non xbmc player and get dolby/dts software or hardware decoding? for sure this deserves an explanation isn't it? i'm very curious.

- [*=left]Navigate to XBMC Settings.
[*=left]Navigate to System.
[*=left]Change your Settings Level to Expert.
[*=left]Navigate to Audio output.
[*=left]Set Number of Channels to 5.1
[*=left]Set Keep audio device alive as you like. (This will keep your AVR from turning on and off when there is no sound playing in XBMC.
[*=left]Make sure Enable passthrough is selected.
[*=left]Enable Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver
[*=left]Enable DTS capable receiver.
[*=left]Exit out of settings and enjoy your 5.1 surround sound!
Use stane xmbc as it the best on these devices
As for testing fellow the instructions and play something with the correct audio stream you wish to test.
And yes it is real hardware decoding.
