I have an Pipo M6 pro and are happy with it. Thank you Riley for the custom ROMS

So i ordered a Pipo P1 last week. The status of the order was not changing in several days.
I emailed the guys with the question, when will the tablet be shipped?

The answer i got, concerned me a little bit, and i wanted to share it with you guys....

",the factory have not adjusted the 3288 chipset firmware to a perfect condition yet, so this was why they postphoned the release date again, and we were inform today the date will be at the beginning of August"

Maybe there are more problems with the new chipset? Or demand is bigger than supply? I dont know....

Yes, the 3G version is not ready yet.
I ordered the Wifi version on Aliexpress and it was delivered to me in Sweden.

New to the forum, joined as I was seriously looking to get a P1

Thought I would share this new benchmark of the P1:

I can test it. How do you want me to do it?

I think it depends on how bright you set the screen.

Jlunse HOW is you brightness setting ?

I do not use the full brightness lets say 60% and for me the batt is ok.

Till now I'am quit happy no strange things till now.
              Multi taksking smootly.

The screen is very good, and brouwsing without delays.

              What is your first impression?

              Cheers

Same for me, brightness about 60%.
I like it too and it feels good. But I'm such a noob when it comes to tablets. Tried them a few years ago but it wasd to early. So, I mostely tried Android TV sticks and phones.
One Pipo P1, I have a problem with some Swedish TV apps, they give sound but no picture.....it might be the same for all devices on Android 4.4.2, others complain too...on other 4.4.2 devices.

The reason could be kit kat 4.4.2 is not supporting flash.
You can download a aletrnative version on xda developer website.
Just google for kit kat and flash and you will find it.

Flash will work on dolphin brouwser with jetpack I think now its embedded the jetpack.
And will work with boat brouwser.

Cheers and succes. I will install it this weekend myself.

Thanks! I tested with flash 11...something, but only with stock browser... but no luck.
I will have a look at dolphin browser too, thanks.

Look you can not use the normal version 11.1 flash.
The guys from xda MODIFYED the flash version as some parts in kit kat are missing.
So you need teh modifyed version.
                      Good luck

                        screen always on (half brightness).
                        Used with wi-fi browsing.

How many hours of usage you can reach?

                        How about heat during browsing?

This is just to understand Cortex A17 power efficiency.
I've already bought a different tablet...after the m6pro and its very bad 3G I did not want to risk again...

                          Ok

As I mentioned before some heat I said left side but that was wrong it is right side upper half.
I can not tell exactly how long i can use it on one charge, but for me it is ok.

But I only do brouwsing and watch vidio on you tube.
In the beginning I used it at full brightness and it soaked the battery.

Further you have to realise that some battery's needs te be charged a few times before they reach full capacity ( I do not say this batts but in general ).

I could play a couple of vivo's from you tube and notice the time.

But Jlunse said before he will do the test he only wanted to know how to perform, so we have to wait for the outcome.

On more thing I do not know if you are familiar with UPC Horizon you can watch the tv channels on it.
My yarvik can not play it at all.
The Pipo p1 plays it smootly no stopping movie at all.

                          cheers

Sorry, but battery is "ok" is not a real answer just because cannot be compared .
I mean that the m6pro battery lasts 6-7 hours with display always on and wi-fi connected, no heat at all.
Just the fact that p1 is warm during brosing is not a good sign for battery duration!

For me a good battery duration should be 9-10 hours with the screen on.
Furthermore a REAL deep sleep function is really important(almost no battery drain during 1 or 2 days of stand-by time with the screen off). Pipo NEVER fixed the lack of deep sleep on ALL 3G models.

At the moment, in my opinion the most beautiful feature of the P1 is the awesome powerup time!

Yep I agree with you that it is not a real good anwher ** test **.

But I compare it to the battery life of my previous tablet and found no strange things like
heee wait a moment I have to charge the battery is empty my previous one had 8000 ma batt.
I would have noticed if pipo p1 was realy bad.

Ok This is not a real test but just a user experiance ( and Iám not a real tester just a user.

I agree with you heat is a bad sign ... but sometimes you have to make a compromise.
Therefore it is equiped with a heavy battery.

I can only compare to my previous tablet and must say this a big step forwards for me as user no benchmarks and all kind off other stuff .... just use it.

But not to over react ..... maybe later on I find some things I dont like

                              to be continued

                              Comment

Keep in mind that you are comparing an old generation (2 years old?) tablet with a brand new one!
It is the MINIMUM in my opinion that there is a HUGE step forward. Don't you think?

I expect the same from my former m6pro (7 months old) to the cube, just because it seems to me the best compromise for my usage, and built by different company that (from outside) perhaps seems to make product better than pipo now.
I could say that for sure only when I receive the cube, so at the moment this is only what I supposed from different reviews and opinion of users that already have the cube talk 9x.
                                Hope to have supposed right!!!
