TWRP for Amlogic devices.

Took a chance, and installed latest version of TWRP, all good, went into recovery and made a backup. even changed the ROM to a Tronsmart MXIII (115k4- even with the bad spelling!) ROM is working OK,and its good to have a backup just in case.many thanks.

Has anyone checked 2.8.7.0 on Minix X-8H successfully ? Although it goes to TWRP, it doesn't see any of the folders I have on the sdcard.

Hello All, this is my first time posting to this forum. I have an MXiii S802 box that I want to install TWRP recovery on, but I'm not even sure which build the box is. I know its an Amlogic S802 2 gig box. But the build number under settings is: KOT49H.20150815 test-keys? which version of TWRP would I use and which install method? when I renamed TWRP image to recovery.img and put it on the sdcard the sdcard didn't see it...

Thanks for the reply. That is the one I've been trying. For some reason the MXiii stock recovery will not see the image file on the sdcard or a usb thumb drive. Any suggestions as to why.

for example i have that firmware: k200-ota-20150613
it included [ATTACH]n535561[/ATTACH]
so can you check that file and make some fixes in it ?

ota update formats partitions. If you are repairing then use Amlogic USB Burning Tool http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/downl...-v2-0-4-3.html and find a recovery that has usb instead of sd in description, example Em9_ap6330_2g8g_150203_usb.rar. Extract the file aml_upgrade_package.img and burn it to sdcard, hope it works.

I cant seem to get into stock recovery (it's been like that ever since I got the box) the box is M8 Ott s802 with 2gb ram. whenever I try one of the recovery.img's in the 1st post it either freezes on the amlogic logo on freezes at a black screen?

does this command work to install TWRP recovery? If so what is the actual command? do you include the quotes? I can't get the stock recovery to recognize recovery.img no matter what I do...I have the MXiii S802 2 gig box. I have even tried Flashify and TWRP Recovery Manager....

1.Boot with recovery.img on sdcard unplug power kabel and enable reset button and plug Power kabel back in.


2.Flash with Rashr app recovery.img an reboot With rebooter app
(Xposed) Gravitybox or a rebooter app from Playstore
