Would it not be better to update the first post with the latest link?
Or is this not a stable release?

I think these are development builds. They work, but they are not quite ready for public release. I tried them both and all was fine, no black screens or bricked device, but I flash them using ssh, so I don't stress too much my reset button. I made full, clean installs, no updating.

You can flash by ssh? I have an .img file to update my firmware, but I cant get it to work by rusb burning tool. Can it by done by ssh using that .img file?

I don't know about .img files. All I do with ssh is give the reboot recovery command instead of hardware rebooting recovery. I once broke the reset button. They changed my player, but I'm don't want to take any chances with the new one, and rebooting recovery from the computer is also more comfortable.

OK so you do the firmware update by sd card or usb burning tool after resetting by ssh?

                No sound on some streams

Is anybody else having issues with 5.0.3 where some streaming videos with AAC audio (64 kpbs, 32 kHz) do not have any sound?
When connected via HDMI to a receiver, the audio input signal is completely gone with these videos.
Could it be that sometimes AAC data is passed through to the receiver?
(the option to enable/disable AAC pass trough seems to be missing from the audio configuration)

                          Both these build run good.

Codesnakes build has the M8 overlay problem on some tv's when playing movies and when it's in dim mode

Kerbers build reboots when using power off option. Remote is the only way to power it off but blue light stays on.

This is on my M8, haven't tried it on my G Box Q yet. But talked to someone that has and those two bugs are the same on the Q.

Thanks to Codesnake, Kerber and Jonke for putting 5.0.5 on both of these build.

                            PROJECT=Amlogic DEVICE=MXQ ARCH=arm OFFICIAL=yes make release

                            tks

Thanks for taking the time to create this. Its awesome.

One question. I'm using the M8. I push the power button on the remote and it i guess suspends it, I push the power button again to turn it back on, but the wifi connection doesn't start up again, under settings it says Failure and I have to manually reconnect it.

Just thought I'd let you know.. Don't know if its a bug or if I have to do something to make that work properly.

If you want to run it on BeeLink's MXQ, you may want to look at this thread: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?23009 (Fork of Codesnake's OpenELEC for MXQ and MK808B Plus).
