I will try doing a clean install of the Jarvis beta when my internet starts working, yes it's down again! If you remember I've had problems with backups in the past because of date / time issues so I need to make sure I'm online to install and then restore my backup.

If I have any problems with a fresh install I'll collect logs this time!

Hi reporting about my black mxq am_mxq_a bord
Using the mxq build with kodi 16 and update went well.
Having a lot of issues with the skin shortcuts
In the past 72 h had to restore defaults twice.
The problem is that kodi forgets them?????
After reboot they disrepair some how

          And another log
Both of these are after kodi freezes and no response from remote/keyboard just unplugging the power and plug it back

Also after I have logged in with putty I have used /storage/.kodi/addons/emulator.tools.retroarch/bin/retroarch.sh Nintendo 64 /storage/emulators/roms/n64/Mario Kart 64.zip at the OpenELEC:~ prompt but I get a message saying permission denied

I'm looking for the n64 retroarch core name here https://sourceforge.net/p/zaggxbmcad...i/Core%20List/ But i don't see it

            Thanks

At least I am getting somewhere now. I have Rom collection browser detecting my roms and I managed to scrape the artwork changing the scrapers around. I have 3 Snes roms in my roms folder and they have all been imported ok with artwork. But, when I launch a game, Kodi just restarts. I am on a MXQ running ksaq OpenELEC 6.0.3.3 The same thing happens in Advanced Launcher. I had to manually add items because automatic scan scans folder but imports nothing. Maybe it just doesn't work on MXQ, thanks for the input all the same

sammaz Hercules Man Good news: I downloaded Lakka source code, played a bit with scripts and successfully compiled RetroArch addon for OpenELEC 7.0. I don't have any ROMs to test nor do I have time to do that but I was able to play a built-in game: 2048 so I assume it runs well. I will clean up my sources a bit and upload them to GitHub so that everyone can use it.

michaelchen Thank you for the logs. I will look at them and try to solve this issue.

kszaq Thanks so much! I cant wait to test it!

I have been adding roms and systems all day.. this is what is tested and working so far:

                CPS2 (using the fba_alpha_cps2_libretro.so core)
                SNES
                NES
                N64
                Genesis
                Sega master system
                Jaguar
                Atari 2600
                PSX

                16GB SD-card is almost full

Going to get MAME working later today...need to see what romset\version of mame this core uses.

I got mario kart n64 running from the terminal for a minute then it crashed in the demo play. The video output was all messed up with multiple small screens flickering and no sound

Update: picodrive is the same, looks like about 3 screens in 1, no sound but seems to be running nice and fast, maybe I need to wait for ksazq version and try that unless someone can figure out the screen and sound issues. I don't know where to start but at least I got it running which is more than I have achieved in the past. it's all easy on Android but I don't wish to go back to Android. Snes emu did not run, Kodi restarts when I send command from terminal, I used snes9x as the emu name if that is correct. I did not use a zip file for the Snes rom, I have used .smc so not sure if that is an issue.

                  Thanks

It should be snex9x_next for SNES ...I dont have any of my n64 roms zipped..it seems to cause issues when those roms are zipped. Give it a try with the rom unzipped. Mario kart 64 runs perfectly with a few audio glitches here.

Yet again every thing freezes and no response from remote/keyboard. But if I try to enter the mxq from my pc \\openelec ......I can see the folders and navigate inside
Restarting and will try to upload a log of I can because there were times that happens and no log us generated

Hi kszaq. I'll be trying to post a log for this but I've never used a file hoster to upload to so I need to work out how to do it. I'm posting now in case you are already aware and I can save myself the journey (apologies for being lazy).
On mxq red tick something has happened between 6.0.3.2 and 3 and hence 6.90.1 to wreck live streaming. I've noticed it through kodi add-on iPlayer www but confirmed it also happens with other streaming addons. I have 3.2 on nand and 3.3 on SD so I've been comparing like for like at similar times of day on the same setup. It happens on both WiFi and Ethernet tho I'm using Ethernet as my main connection. Along the way I've tried 6.90.1 so I can link the change to the step to 6.0.3.3.

On 6.0.3.3 and onwards the streams seem to take longer to load and when they do, they will freeze, buffer, catch-up in speeded up video and lose audio sync or just end on their own. I've read your change log and nothing in it leads me to understand why. The only thing I see is that with debugging on "Kodi CPU" is higher and often above 100%.

                        Any ideas? Anyone else?

What are the last lines of your retroarch.start file? It sounds like kodi is not stopping properly.

For audio you will need to add the line :

                                audio_device = "hw:0,1"

to your retroarch.cfg file found in /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/emulator.tools.retroarch/config/retroarch.cfg

I have attached mine here so that you can just drop it into your retroarch and everything will just work correctly

unzip the attached file and place retroarch.cfg in :

                                /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/emulator.tools.retroarch/config/retroarch.cfg

Then go ahead and launch a rom...I think you will be happy ..you can take a look at all of the settings exposed in this .cfg file...
