And as K states on the front page MXQ boxes are only partially supported because there are so many boards. Basically try older versions, you could even try the test Jarvis build K posted up the page a bit.

EDIT: Sorry the Jarvis build is coming tomorrow! The test one up the page is 15.2
As I said I'm using his first test build of openelec with kodi 16

An update to the Jarvis test build should with us tomorrow which if you're lucky may sort your problems!

Hi kszaq, I am new to this forum but have been using your builds of OpenELEC on a MK808B+ for some time now. The experience with OpenELEC is way better than the 'out of the box' Android experience. With Android the box used to crash, and I had loads of lip-sync issues and video jerking, so thank-you so much for all the amazing effort that you, and others on this forum keep putting into this.

I wanted to ask about a comment that you made a while ago about RetroArch. You said that you had it working with 6.90.1, and that you may put it somewhere for others. I would be interested to try it if you have. Does your rebuilt version of RetroArch still need to be configured for the hardware?

I know someone suggested that there should be a new forum thread for this topic, but I didn't start one in case there is one somewhere already. If you aren't aware of one, then I could start one.

Thanks again for what you are doing.

Shadi86 yes I had this problem but it was related to a build I had installed (kodi "build") and OpenElec/Kodi was fine once the build was uninstalled.

                Hi thanks for your answer
Yes I was also suspect that it's not this build of openelec causing this restarting, it's have more to do with the 3 part addons I have installed or maybe tvheadend client addon because I use tvheadend addon a lot

I had Pulse CCM build installed and once this was uninstalled back to basic kodi all was good

Had the exact same problem on both of my systems today. I streamed some episodes in the morning for about 1 hour and then it suddenly started to reboot every two minutes. My guess was also a third party addon causing the problems, so i started to disable as many as i could before it restarted again. After some trial and error it now works again. I don't know which addon exatly caused the problem because i havn't done further tests, but i am qutite sure it was one of the service addons. Could have been tvheadend indeed, because i had that enabled.

Hello everybody. Im using mbox's all black mxq. Using only Kodi, so openelec would be perfect for me. I tried to do toothpick boot, mut im not able to select nothing on boot menu (USB stick boot), remote dont work, wireless keyboard wont work, wireded mouse dont work. Tried also with SD-card, but not able to get on Android man screen, just hangs amlogic screen with 3 seconds and reboots all ovet again until i release toothpick button. What to do?

edit. managed to boot from sd-card, booted first time but on second boot only kodis backgroud shows. Trying now install 7.0 to nand memory.
Edit2. OpenELEC 7.0 build seems to work fine on my all black mxq box (nand).

when i go to systeminfo --Hardwere i can see all 4 cpu's %, on every reboot only 2 cpu's show % change the other 2 are stuck, is that ok?

skin installation went ok with no erors(i think that was the first time every thing went smood), add on installed ok, did encaunter a self reboot by the system after navigating the menues and generated a log ,if u want i can post it.

There is a topic regarding RetroArch addon by sammaz here: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...mk808b-and-mxq
I'll post RetroArch for Jarvis beta together with next Jarvis build.

Are you using Jarvis build? There are some known issues with EPG addons that would cause Kodi to lockup/restart and fixes are coming in 16.1.
An off-topic question: how did you manage to make Tapatalk work with this thread? I'm unable to see the latest posts since May...

My releases follow official OpenELEC releases. OpenELEC is currently in pre-beta stage, so are my builds.

The amount of RAM you see is what's available to userspace apps. It is physical RAM minus RAM reserved by kernel. In recent releases I increased amount of memory reserved for ppmgr by 16MB to fix a rare out-of-memory issue when playing HEVC videos. No need to worry about that.

2 CPUs stuck is because of hotplug governor bug (that I'm not planning to fix) - when the cores are offline, system shows their last load value and not 0%. No need to worry about that either. If that's something that bothers you, you can change your CPU governor to ondemand or interactive.

Our boxes are passively cooled, 60°C is completely normal. I also wouldn't say that reading is very accurate but that's how thermal driver works.
