Kszaq, I have been using your port of OpenELEC for a month or two now as a stand alone PVR/DVR, and it is working fantastic. To show you my appreciation, I sent you a couple of beers. Enjoy

The problem with ethernet is very odd since there were no changes in ethernet support/drivers. I have recompiled the 5.0.8p3 from the scratch and posted it as 5.0.8p4: https://github.com/kszaq/OpenELEC.tv...es/tag/5.0.8p4 Would you be so kind and test it on your MXQ? I don't have one (yet).

Don't worry then, this 2nd test build works great for my mxq .

hey kszaq I love your roms. been using them since they were posted here. I have a question for you though, is there any chance that you can update the librtmp files in the rom to the latest from redpenguin I think its the 3-16-15. I see the instuctions for openelec on rasp pi but dunno which files we would use for the MK808B Plus as its not a Pi.

dunno if I can link here but if I cant mods please edit the link out.

You can try using the RPi lib (look at the instructions at http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=162307 as they seem to be more up-to-date). If it doesn't work, you'd have to ask RedPenguin to compile it for Amlogic or get the source code from him.

The all-black MXQ is a bit different in hardware and I suppose it needs a separate build. I will try to make a test build for you today evening (CEST).

As far as I remember, another user fixed that by flashing the latest Android firmware using USB Burning Tool (you can find it here: http://androidpc.es/blog/2015/04/10/...-con-soc-s805/) and flashing back OpenELEC. I have experienced this issue on my MK808B+ but only when it was underpowered, which should not be the case with MXQ since it uses a separate power adapter.

                        Hello everyone,
I recently purchased MK808B+ and now openELEC runs on the player. OpenELEC is latest test release (5.0.8-20150421) Everything works perfectly, fast boot and all, but I have a few questions?
I noticed slightly audio delay on my TV after seeking through video (FF,FR) in Kodi. This was not the issue with Kodi on Android at the beginning?
Is there a way (except CEC functionality.) to get player running from the Off state. In fact, although the TV that is connected supports CEC (Sony KDLW4000) I could not manage to control the MK808+ via TV remote (it shows some CEC controled device in GUI of the TV). At the other Samsung TV it appears that the CEC works. For now I use android application Yatse to control Kodi interface. I can shut down Kodi, but only way to boot up is to reconnect USB power cable.
Once again congratulations to developers at an extraordinary work.

                        Greeting

I have done that ,flashed the above android them flashes ur latest test build of openelec ,the previous issue with openelec logo appearing went away but box doesn't connect to ethernet ,wifi is fine ,In openelec network setting tab there is no wired networks option ,only wireless,is this a bug or drivers missing ,I thought wired was default connects if cable is plugged in but not doing so ,any idea ?the previous test build from April 20 had ethernet working .
This build from April 21 has this issue in same box .
                          I am using https://github.com/kszaq/OpenELEC.tv...es/tag/5.0.8p4

This version has the same problem : no ethernet and wifi can't connect.

I would really like to install this build to my MXQ that I´m planning to give to my older relative for media box. However, it would be really nice that multichannel audio out and bitstreaming would work. Is there any possibility to get them working in the near future? I´ve got an AVR and I can do some testing if that´s any help.

As far as I know, there is no way to turn back on the MK808B+ other than CEC. You can either leave it always ON (it doesn't consume that much power...) or power it over your TV's USB port - you have to make sure it provides at least 1A of current.

Sorry, this is currently a no-go until I figure out how to make the audio not to mute with certain configurations. This is a common issue for all Amlogic devices. I have recently got an HTS which accepts 6 channel PCM and until I make this work I don't think bitstreaming would be possible. I welcome hints and pull requests that may help but I don't have anything to test that I believe would work. Sorry for that!

@ MXQ users: I am sorry for the issues you are experiencing with the latest test builds. I don't have a MXQ and I can't test them but here's some good news: thanks to generous donations from noosk and clarkss12 I ordered a Beelink MXQ and it should arrive in ca. 3 weeks time. That means better support for you!

Here is another test build for MXQ users: I excluded the drivers for Realtek 8723AS and BS (there seems to be no MXQ that uses this) and used the latest eMMC driver. People with issues, please test this. Also remember to write which MXQ you have: Beelink or EM6Q-MXQ (aka HD18Q).
