Try restting your router. All the connect reconnect your doing may have tied up the total allowed DHCP IP addresses set in your router.

Thanks Bob, Wikings1, leolas for tips! Was still not working this evening - but retried your suggestions (except channel change on router) and now it suddenly works great - full signal!!

(Strange though, Wifi Analyser app was showing almost 100% signal, and full bars in the settings wifi symbol, but as soon as you clicked on the wifi signal to try to connect, the bars dropped to zero....)

While the stick is getting ip the bars goes to zero every time, in my android phone too. Sometimes android gets freezed establishing the connection.

I seem to have a different issue with my wifi, since it only showed up after I have been using the ethernet adapter for about 1 week.
I was using new, original Mk808B with Bob's -great- 1.7 working fine for a couple of days with excellent wifi. Then added the ethernet adapter which also worked fine (somewhat quicker than wifi).
But then tried the unit in a different room with wifi connection again (no ethernet in that room), but wifi does not complete connection, even though it shows a strong signal (4bars). It keeps getting stuck at authentication..... and retrying.
But, wifi also cannot connect anymore in the original room (very close to the router), where connection HAD been excellent.
Turned ethernet off and wifi on in settings, tried a reboot, also uncoupled the wifi connection and re-coupled with correct password, reset router, removed ethernet adapter, tried horizontal and vertical position for the MK808B, but will not connect to wifi anymore. Wifi signal still showing as strong on MK808B.
MK808B still works fine with ethernet adapter. Tab and phone also working fine on wifi.
Anybody else experience problems going back to wifi from ethernet adapter... or have any tips for a noob?

I also had this problem. It happened when rebooting or shutting down using the "reboot" app Finless provides with his ROM (black with green dot in the middle that has an arrow in it, pointing to the right). After that I always shut down with the button in the nav bar. I totally forgot about it and failed to report during Beta (my apologies).

Do you use this app to reboot and shut down? Perhaps it keeps some settings in memory (if possible) that keeps the device from connecting. Just a suggestion.

Am I the only one getting my usb rc 11 slowed down on 1.7? The pointer goes crazy by slowing down and then coming back to normal again. Also streaming HD videos seems to be an issue. back to previous version for now.

I've been testing netflix quite carefully....on my stock ROM was pretty stuttery....finless 1.5 was a good improvement....skipped 1.6 and now runing 1.7 which is an improvement again.

However there was still a minor stuttering issue which i've pretty much resolved by using SETCPU and running the performance profile when using netflix.

Still looking for improvements though so will checkout the web interface quality setting

... And I I'll try adjusting governor in set cpu. Thanks for the tip!

Hey everyone, I think I just figured out something useful on the sleep function. The first time my device went to sleep I lost my keyboard and mouse despite being connected to a wireless network. It occurred to me that android will disable the wifi after a certain time of inactivity on my tablet, so I assumed maybe that was why the device was shutting down - it didn't see an active wifi connection. Since battery isn't a concern, I installed advanced wifi lock (free) and locked my wifi to always be on and I do not seem to have that issue anymore.

I did the same thing on my Allwinner A10 tablet, because the Allwinner A10 "ignores" this setting, and in sleep it also turns off the wifi.
Some days before, I wrote, that the Finless 1.7 loses the "screen never turns off while charging" option, but something miracle happened. I don't remember, if I were there in the setting menu since then, but now I went to the settings, and this option is turned on. Also, the wifi never sleeps option is turned on.

BTW, can you do something to "speed up" the forum? It is quite okay on my desktop PC (i5-3470 is fast enough), but the MK808 reached it's limits, the typing is 1-2 seconds late.
I did not noticed this thing on other forums, but here in freaktab, it is quite slow. Does not matter, if I try the default browser, dlophin, firefox, or opera, they are having the same problem.I tried to turn on the CPU debugging.

I received three new MK808Bs Monday, and have set them up on Finless 1.7, CWM Recovery, stock kernel, ROM, etc, 1080p image. I unsoldered the primary antenna ground wires, and blocked the contacts on the secondary antennae with cardboard.

Wifi on all three works fine 2 meters from my router (maximum 11.5 Mbps download). Once I move them two rooms away (about 8 meters), wifi speed drops to 299 kbps download. My old MK808 with an added antenna from an old router gets 6 Mbps download speed under the same conditions.

One problem appears to be interference or feedback from the air mouse controller, which uses the same wifi frequency. I discovered this by starting speed test (from speedtest.net), and watching the speed increase noticeably when I removed the air mouse dongle from my MK808B(s).

I did 15 back-to-back speed tests with the air mouse dongle connected to the USB-OTG port and the regular USB port, controlling speed test with my RC-11 air mouse.

Then I removed the batteries from the RC-11 controller, left the dongle attached and untouched, and ran speed test on the MK808Bs using my Nexus 7 and RKRemote Control. The average air mouse download speed test was 299 kbps. The average RKRemote Control download speed was 753 kbps, 251% better.

Since this was my first experience with MK808Bs, I flashed one of them to Finless 1.6a to see if there is a wifi penalty from using Finless 1.7, as reported by several users. Sorry, folks. There is no difference in wifi performance between Finless 1.6a and 1.7.

I am calling this BETA test over and this ROM is the launch version.
If I make any changes to it I will call it 1.7a, etc.

I had the same problem, I almost trough away my RII Mini Wifi keyboard/mouse, my internet speed was really low and a lot dropping signal, the pointer really slow for few sec then fast and typing was a mess (Pppprrobllllemm, something like that), so I try my USB normal Mouse and all was working ok, clicking everywhere and typing with the popup keyboard, SPEEDTEST fine 90% my total speed, then i realize that the 2.4ghz dongle may be interfering with the Wifi of the MK808B (also 2.4ghz) so i bought a US$ 1.50 USB extender to get the dongle at lease 4 feed away from the MK808B and that solve my problem. I have the MK808B on the right side of the TV (also my Wireless AP is that way) an the Wireless RII Mini Wifi keyboard/mouse left side TV.

Works Great but couple of Issues

1. Probably just me but having quite a few lockups in XBMC and while watching although I assume thats my server.

2. once i hide the menu bar in xbmc I cant find how to unhide it and the mouse cursor is off once hidden

3. the sleep mode will not awake on when I use my wireless mouse.

4. tried the shutdown app but nothing happened

5. Where do I change the wallpaper? its no longer in display settings menu
