MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7

How did the new boot img pan out ?ive double tested my wifi with different roms and can confirm that apps like play store and xbmc really struggle for speed and consistency (scratch asking about the boot img, the times are different on the forum posts to my location)

What boot.img are you using? 720 or 1080?

Im getting connection timed out regularly in play store and crawling speeds with the img you just uploaded, im on a fresh install ( i also had to return to 1.6 for this exact reason). and am currently watching freaktab take over 50 seconds to load. In comparison with about 8 seconds on 1.6 10 minutes ago on the same website. (im still waiting for freaktab to even load or play store to connect)

However streaming of videos is what I am work with Singular now as I did make changes there. Gplay and other issues should not at all be effected! Again some other issues is going on there. Seems illogical I agree, I almost stuck an antenna into the side of it yesterday. However when I change to 1.6 or for example a minix rom i get absolutely great speeds. im currently 1 meter away from a router watching google chrome take 3 minutes to download 140kb of data. The 1.6 rom im going to flash back to in a second will 100% download the full 20mb in probably less than a minute.

I hate to argue but Im doing everything correctly I think. Im erasing the nand before flashing tried both 720p and 1080p tried different access points (there are 4 in my house). But still no speed on this rom. all the others ive tried and have used work fine.

And yes 1.6 is up and running and im already half way through downloading google chrome and have loaded freaktab about 5 times. I am using the same network and same stick at almost the same time.

What is your device?, man, I feel like a lucky man, I have not noticed those issues, Runing 1.7, at 1080p and original kernel patched to1080 too, mk808b "original", antenna modded, tomorrow I will go to my brother house, he has the same device but in stock firm, I will try update his device and see what happend.

It's an Ipegtop MK808 (original spec) without antenna mod running Finless 1.7 (720p) now .

I thought I was going a little crazy with it, I have always been lucky with wifi signal so I was literally scratching my head.

Hmmm OK... live and learn! I think my production ROM I will remove this. It was given to me as a tip for XBMC but it seems to either not matter (does not show any performance improvement) or in some cases causes problems like you have seen. I will take it out I think.

Bob, I am sooo sorry but it's back after I re-loaded my other apps. I am in the process of uninstalling each one to try and find the culprit but thought I better let you know asap.

I would be interested in what you find please. Then be 100% sure 1.6 does not have this problem also and just a combination of issues with APPs.

It's getting late here in the UK now, I'll post again over the weekend after trying to narrow it down.
