Seeing as the month we tested the rom was Febuary and it being Lincoln's Birthday I sent you a few Lincoln's to your PayPal. Cheers

Just registered to say word of Thanks to Bob for his efforts. I really appreciate it. This ROM is awesome I tried almost all of the ROMs but this really a complete ROM as per as my satisfactions.
One thing I will definitely request about the libstagefright.so, if possible, please include this in your next ROM so that we can have a better XBMC experience.
Thanks again BOB and thanks to all the folks here who ask very valid question and get very informative answers from other members, and oldie like myself is learning now LOL!

Thanks a ton for all the work you do Finless. I wish I were talented enough to help out in this way. I tried out both 1.6 and now 1.7 today and was really happy with one minor complaint. When I initially booted up 1.7, the screen setting was automatically set at 1080 and not 720, so my Samsung/edit Panasonic TV looked terrible and it threw me a scare that I had f'd up the flash. But after going into the settings and bringing it down to 720 all was excellent. Oh, edit to add that I have a SS808 from SainSmart which I believe is identical to the original MK808.

Well, then you are a lucky man, you have some ones to choose. Well, if I could choose, I will choose omegamoon one, it has some problems with certain tv conection solved. Good and fast enought, careful about overclocking kernel, they arent really needed and can burn our devices.

Does this kernel support external wired Ethernet module and XBox control devices?

The readme in mk808_finless_17.zip says that it is for 808B - but I am guessing that the readme is wrong, not the other files?

If you have the modules in /system/lib/modules yes but I have mk808b and I haven't tested it.

                          late feedback

First off thanks for your great work! I wouldn't have bout these two units if it wasn't for you ROM's and everyones feedback

                          This is what I found:

If the unit connect to internet using my router:
                          1) Market times out
                          2) Cannot use the remote control app
                          3) My phone/computer wont see it as a DLNA renderer

(my phone works fine in all the above cases and is android too)

If I use my phone as a hotspot.
                          1) Market works fine.
                          2) Remote app works fine.
                          3) my phone sees it as a DLNA renderer.

                          - 1920x1080p just blanks my screen, I have to say that I get the same behaviour with the stock rom. The Hybryd FW works at 1080p but with a lot of flickering. It seems to work fine when the unit gets hot.

                          3) The camera app, the image seems to flicker, it works fine if I try to use it from a hang out it shows the image right.
                          4) I can record audio from my webcam but I wasnt able to have a voice conversation using google talk.
                          5) The display never goes to sleep
                          6) USB sound dongle, the device gets recognized but video runs very slow. It runs fin from PC.
                          7) Bluetooth audio works flawlessly.
                          8) How can I install Youtube video? I cant do it from market.
                          9) I set the unit to sleep after 15 seconds, when it came back there was no wifi
                          10) After 3 minutes or so it seems the unit went to deep sleep and when i move the mouse it wont wake up.
Besides that all is great, I'd like to put this unit in my mothers house so I can chat with her

Please let me know how can I help to iron out this things :-)

BTW Maybe it'd make more sense to use a bug database to keep track/progress on issues. Google code has one just in case.

                          Cheers and many many thanks!

cwm recovery zip flashable for thew lib.

I made a cwm flashabe zip to update libstagefright.so to the new version. Simply download the zip, copy it your sdcard or external_sd and flash it with cwm recovery.

I tested it and works fine for me, but i suggest to make a backup of your actual rom in external_sd before you flash anything. So if something go wrong you can recover your actual ROM.

                            I hope it helps.

As to 1080p, which 1080p kernel would you recommend? If the one from Armtvtech.com, can you post a link? - There are mutliple available...
