Just confirmed with factory

- After X pcs they will mount the old WiFi/BT chip again
- They did not change more things

This is not good for final customers, if the comunity people makes new ROMs they will not work... or maybe yes

Since the release of rkpatchomatic it shouldn't be a problem to also patch the clone kernels for overclocking.

I cracked mine open today and it looks exactly like that, even thou it not the one I order it had two wifi antennas etc. on boot screen it says R-BOX......

I'm new here and i want to know if my mk808b module is original or not , can you help me guys ? It posible to be a legit version ? i dont want to disassembly because its under reseller warrianty ..

Here is a little tutorial :
1.install terminal emulator from playstore and open it
2.type su (you must be rooted)
3. type dmesg
From the output scroll down and look for the wifi entries and see if it is rk903 or something else
There are many entries so keep looking to end of the output.

All of them are originals. Now the factory is mounting Mediatek WF/BT chips and redesigned the board. But they are not clones.

Thanks for the reply , i understand now so the new mk808 boards are another revision with other chipset . oke perfect , but only the rk903 @ rk901 can be updated.
Yesterday i updated my mk808b with finless bob 2.1 , and.4.2.2, with 720p kernel and its works perfect , the 1080p have less fps and its laggy , but the 720 is perfect , so thank you very mutch

ps. the wifi signal is around 3 lines with the wifi router in the room , but the hd youtube streaming is smooth , perfect !. The new finless room are moded to a samsung gl2 and some apps in the play store are not available like Internet Speed test app , so i try to use the default model number ...

Do you have any SuperUser app installed ? if not installit from app store its free. then try again with android emulator , than type su , than type dmesg than scroll up to find the chip information.

Now this one worked right out of the box, however its not rooted, I have the mk808b with the ap6210 wifi chipset, it's JB 4.2.2, I've look all over this site and other to put a different rom on it, but until Im sure I got the right one I leave this one the way it is

Sorry for that but the ap6210 chipset has no update support to a custom room like Finless with real HD Kernel .. if you update the device the wifi die .
