but on mine the usb connectors are a yellowish metal and have a heat sink. As for custom rom which I wouldn't mine, I did have the seller send me the stock rom> which wasn't the stock rom because it was rooted version and when I got my box it wasnt rooted at the time until I flashed it with what the seller sent me.

It is not an original... the original uses the RK903 chipset for the wifi/bluetooth just as the original post describes. In fact, since it isn't like the original using the same components... I'd call it a fake and not a clone ( a clone would be the same as an original )

In my post just before yours... I quoted a post with a link to the newer ROM that is rooted for the device you have. It also has a link to another users post which talks a little about this device. If there is a compatible CMW version... I haven't seen it yet but I wasn't looking either so you may want to search a little more and actually read some posts instead of just asking before you have researched it

actually i have read almost any post in all forum, but that doesnt mean that i dont have the right to post something .and to gine my share, after a lotttt of reading ,its a new clone. It has the expected rk3066 chips and a Broadcom AP6210 wifi/BT chipset with single antenna, making it similar to the a revision (sometimes called v6) of the Rikomagic MK802IIIS.The only rom so far one that works is the Rikomagic (http://www.rikomagic.com/en/download..._1.html).After searcing many other forums i found a german dude that made a version of finless 2.1 for this device.
i installed finless.wifi works,bt works sometime.its rooted, but i doest seen to recognize my rc12 remote control as the original did.
i will try when i have the time also the (T005).also i found another post in here giving the original rom(https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=4d0cb...3EFB7FB!105).i havent tryed if it really the original.
so seems my reading really paid off.thanks a lot all friends in the forum, for those solutions.

And no one can ask the Finless that he would have done the firmware on our clone 808 that MEDIATEK WiFi chip? http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post120640
Suitable for clone - Imito MX1_MX2 Finless 2.0 JB 4.2.2 ROM., Only kernel bad.

Of course people can ask Bob ( Finless ) if he will work on another ROM for different device... If he doesn't have that model of device on hand to test, he would then need to have someone else test the changes he makes... Of course, we can't assume he will do it... he is doing what he can where he can but he can't do it all.

Yet another clone? Clarifications are welcome

                      Dear all,
I bought a few weeks ago what I thought was an MK808 (not B).
The device was working nicely (Antutu Benchmark of 11495 and wi-fi stable and quite fast) but I wanted to try some custom roms and try to cook one by myself. So i decided to make a backup with CWM Recovery (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...rk3066-devices), due to many problems I read about finding original ROMs. And here the troubles began.
My device seems to be a mixed of some new ones (the blue version with the AP6210 and R-BOX logo but CPU Identifier report it as an MK809II).
So I'm attaching picture of the device and screenshots, just to ask you which model is for you and which version of CWM-based Recovery images for RK3066 devices (http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/rk3066/) should I downlaod and use.
Thank you very much for your clarifications.

                        dguzz... welcome to the forum

The AP6210 chipset has both WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities in it... so I'd be surprised if yours doesn't have a working bluetooth and they just didn't enable it in the software/kernel .... that is just a guess of course.

Look at my post above ( #150 ) where I reposted pics that another user had provided... you'll see a device that looks a lot like yours with minor differences on the USB and other connectors.

My own was sold as a MK808B and was branded a R-BOX as well... mine is identical to the pics I reposted with the exception of the memory is by another company ( Toshiba )

Contact the place you bought the device from and request a link to your ROM so you can have a backup. Then consider flashing one of the ROM's that been mentioned that does include BT with it...

I used the ROM I mentioned in post #150 ( which is branded as a R-BOX rom ) as well as this one ( branded as a Rikomagic ) on this webpage http://blog.w2comp.com/#!/2013/12/15...-firmware.html

giannisgr41 also posted links to some ROM's that worked on his device ... so they are also worth trying out.

It would certainly be interesting to see if these ROM's which do have BT... end up providing you with it on your device which was suppose to not have it

                            Dumping Clone ROM

First of all, thank you all for your prompt reply.
As the distributor won't be able to send me the official ROM, I tried to dump the ROM with ADB.
I partially managed it, but to avoid cross-posting, I will be posting in the http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...sing-ADB-guide thread.
                            Thank you again everybody

                              Clone or not?

Hey everyone, I'm new here and just recently bought an MK808B from one of the sellers on Amazon and was checking which one was mine but it didn't look similar to the OP's pictures, can anyone please check which ROM I should use for mine?

                              Here is a picture:

The OP is outdated. Look at the last 5 pages and you will probably find your stick. If not, make a picture of the other side too, all i can see on your photo are lots of stickers .
