Just tried the ROM and can confirm that video playback is as close to perfect as I have seen yet out of the box so to speak and the version of SPMC posted works wonderfully.

1080p Youtube gives the best playback yet and with just about no stuttering whatsoever.

              Everything is zippy too.

For MXPlayer, go into settings, decoder and enable H/W+ for all.
Then videos will play with H/W+ support and not SW. H/W doesn't work on all devices, but H/W+ is much better.
The native Video app is very basic and not a lot of people use it. It doesn't work at the moment but will try to fix it and find out what the cause is.
Have to download external codec and enable it in MXPlayer to get DTS/AC3 Passthrough audio.

Don't know if all receivers will work correctly with passthrough, can't remember if I included a patch.
Will fix it in a new ROM if there are lots of problems.

Try using latest Kodi merged with SPMC and enable expert settings and at acceleration, disable rkstagefright and keep Mediacodec enabled.

Can also enable sync to display in video settings. If you have a modern TV, the TV will change resolution to the video playing eg. 1080p @ 24fps, 1080p @ 30fps, 1080p @ 60fps etc.
Can also use an advancedsettings.xml file for Kodi to cache more to RAM for streaming issues like buffering.
There is also work underway to have HD Audio passthrough support with new codecs in Kodi for Android.
Video playback is great. Press 'o' to see video file info for video playing.
All the 4k video files people had problems with play fine for me without any dropped frames.

Youtube - The included Youtube app also have 1080p support. Have to go into settings and set 1080p for wifi streaming and 'enable all resolutions' then it will work. Otherwise it will only show 720p.
But Youtube from the Play Store has 1080p automatically, if floating window support and download option is not necessary.

SPMC - That version from the link is now merged with Kodi.
So lots of problems people had with SPMC will be fixed as it's official Kodi but with SPMC's Mediacodec support.
In Kodi settings, enable expert settings, acceleration - only enable Mediacodec and in video settings enable 'sync display to video' to change TV resolution to best match the playing video for smoother playback.

I think my ROM now has the best RK3288 Kodi video playback.
If only manufacturers could sell devices that already work so well instead of full of bugs.

thanks for reply but I have teac ag-d500 amp and want to passthrough to it and in mode hw+ in mxplayer passthrough is not working just pcm or stereo sound works.
with latest kodi with advancedsetting.xml I can,t have passthrough with spdif and hami bitstream.

I have found that the best video playback is with all 3 enabled.

With just mediacodec there can still be some stutter.

I am surprised that the manufacturers and vendors don't approach people such as yourself and employ you as contractors to help them make better ROM's.

It's not as if they cannot afford it and better software results in more sales.

After flashing i rooted then ran exposed installer but i found the exposed modules not useful for me (root cloak-fake id and such )
If you only care about video playback do you have to install exposed framework or the exposed modules to get the maximum video performance ?

No, Xposed modules are only extras for people that use it.
                            It doesn't affect video playback.

I have installed a variety of Xposed modules and none have affected use or video playback that I can denote.
