Wasser: thanks for the 3.0.3 update. Playback seems even more stable than before. There are a couple of UI issues that were not present in 3.0.2
    1. Nova Launcher doesn't behave well now. It seems to act as a sort of "overlay" on the default launcher. You can see it, but the icons are not clickable. I had to uninstall it to get everything to work properly.
    2. Language switch with an external keyboard doesn't work. I can switch between English US and Google Voice Typing, but can't get to Hebrew (which is configured properly).

Has anything changed in these areas?

    Thanks.

I use Nova Launcher and don't have any issues with it.

        3.0.3 is great. Thanks Wasser.

Any news about a working xposed for your firmware?

And one thing im missing: the clear all icon from the recent used apps tab. In 3.0.2 you could close all in 3.0.3 you have to do one by one.

        Greetings.

Thanks guys. I'll give it another try. My main problem is really that Ctrl-Space doesn't toggle languages for the external keyboard properly. I think the keyboard settings have changed since 3.0.2.
Last edited by tim1; 19 January 2016, 10:43. Reason: More detail... I've got English and Hebrew defined on the AOSP keyboard, and disabled everything else. When I do Ctrl-Space, it shows AOSP popup, but the language doesn't change. Previously in 3.0.2

THX for the great 3.0.3 firmware
Whit the Kodi that I extract from Ugoos UT3 Rom (v3.0.2b) the Firmware is almost perfect.
              - Passthrough with DTS-HD and TrueHD works without dropouts, with 23,976fps too
              - 3D iso files with 23,976fps works too with HD sound
              - the one thing is I must on every movie set a delay from 250ms
              - ok a second thing is the icons if I play a 3D movie are damage

I also had before the Nova launcher on the 3.0.2 and on youtube when streaming 1080p 60Hz the buffering had pretty big problem, very slow buffer and had interruption all the time, I changed to Zen UI Launcher and the problem it”s gone, now the buffering on 1080p 60Hz it”s working fine for my on ethernet connection, also before on 3.0.2 I had an old version of youtube from May last year which work very good without interruption on 3.0.2 but on the new firmware the 3.0.3 that youtube version only stream 720p so I update to the new youtube version on the 3.0.3 in order to get 1080p streaming but still have sometimes problems with the interruption that I”ve mention before.

After a while of testing i can also report that Youtube (latest from play store or OG Mods Youtube) have problems with stuttering / audio dropouts. They are rare (once every couple of minutes) but there are there. Using 3.0.2 I didn't have one !

Otherwise everything i throw at the B89 it plays fine with the 3.0.3.

Gamewise like every other RK3288 Lolipop some games have audio noise instead of music. Hungry Shark is one example (free on the playstore) since every RK3288 Lolipop Device behaves like that it must be the Rockchip SDK

No one using wifi 2.4/5Ghz or am I the only one with this issue on v3.x firmware?

Seems you are the only one. I was using the Box with 3.0.2 and 2.4 without problems and now 3.0.3 also zero Wifi Problems.

                          3.0.2 and 3.0.3. 5ghz works with 3.0.3

                          Router AVM Fritzbox 7490.

I found another bug... seems the TV Out is gone again with 3.0.3. Worked fine with 3.0.2

Hi. Thanks Wasser. This one is near perfect and worth of daily usage.
Playback and stability are much improved as is multi-tasking.
I did have one unexpected reboot and one graphics crash but those were on the first day and have not repeated themselves. I did experience a graphical glitch in the playstore but that was more related to the multi-window usage and something not being handled during a download and one of the overlays shifting so definitely nothing serious. These are just observations but have as of yet not presented themselves as anything serious.
My only quibbles are at the moment two and related to multi-window (which is more experimental and therefore expected):
                            1) window sizes in multi-window. Split is fine Though too bad it only does two halves and not quarters. Unfortunately (at least for me) the only sizes available are full screen, three-quarters of the screen (I don't see much use for this one other than to quickly open up something else, and something a bit more than a quarter screen. This means that windows will always overlap unless using split screen (but having a video in split means that a quarter of the screen real-estate is wasted).
                            2) Not all options, overlays, menus are clickable when using mulit-window mode
I only used Wi-fi once (Swype refuses to download language packs over ethernet) and it worked, ethernet has not presented any problems and videoplayback as others state is great.

You have improved the usability of this box ten fold if not more. If you end up working on a Rockchip 3399 box I'll definitely not hesitate to buy one (and strive to buy the same one you get to ensure full compatibility with your ROMs)

The only real shortcomings/performance issues now actually have to do with the box itself (only 2gigs of RAM, somewhat slow storage memory, sometimes processor speed). Based on my experience so far (though it's only been a few days) I would be happy to keep on using this ROM indefinitely.

Okay, I just found one glitch... When playing video on the latest beta Kodi (16 something) if it's 10bit hevc video there's no problem. If it's 8-bit video it plays back well except for the fact that if the video does not use up the entire screen (i.e. any aspect ratio that is not 16:9 means that the "unused" part of the screen shows the desktop. As I mentioned this does not happen with 10-bit hevc video. Have not tried with x264. I personally prefer MX Player but I thought I should mention it.

I agree with you that Wasser is doing an incredible Job getting these Boxes to a state where they should have been right from the start.

But there are still nowhere near perfect.

With 3.0.3 there are still Bugs like:
                              - TV-Out not working (Worked with 3.0.2). There isn't even an Option for something else than HDMI
                              - Stuttering in Youtube is back but not as strong as it was. 3.0.2 was better
                              - Sound in some Games is just noise (Hungry Shark, PewdiePie Game ect.). But ALL Rockchip devices running Lolipop have that
                              - Xposed not working. You can install it after Flashing TWRP Recovery but after installing Xposed the device crashes on Bootup often reporting Stresstest.apk RKsomething.apk forced close.
                              ect.

Looking at the last two mentioned point shows that if all Rockchip Lolipop Devices have that bug its something Wasser probably can't fix as Rockchip needs to fix their SDK in Order for Wasser to build his great Mod basing it on the latest SDK.

So Rockchip may build great SOCs but their Software Team is more than dissapointing ...
