Lollipop - Wasser Firmware for Beelink R89

I'd like to try this out on a cs928 box. Are they any special instruction on how to install this firmware coming from 4.4? Is it just the standard rom flash process for this?

Again, this Lollipop Beta 5 is AMAZING! However:

• Skype is crashing with C270 Logitech webcam/microphone.
• Google Hangout video works fine, but microphone does NOT work.

Skype video was the very last thing fixed on KitKat (2.09), so it would be nice to get this working early-on in Lollipop, since just about everything else works amazingly well.

Pretty awesome. on my CS928. Almost everything works.

Remote does not work also I can't seem to get any launchers to work. The google Android TV Launcher wont even install.

My system
. Samsung UA55HU8500 Ultra HD Smart LED TV (Series 8, 4K upscaling, 55 inches, 3840 x 2160 200mhz)
. Samsung Home Theater HT-F9750W (1,330W, 7.1Ch; Vacuum Tube; Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Pro Logic I/II, Dolby True HD, DTS HD/Neo, 3D Sound Plus)
. Beelink R89, wasser-3.0.0b5, KODI 15 (from play store), sPDIF optical cable connected to Surround system 7.1, HDMI cable connected to TV


wasser-3.0.0b5-lollipop-beelink-r89-rk3288 is working great but there are 2 major this still not working.

1.Passthrough AUDIO Option
Android configuration: Settings - Sound - Default Output
On Android settings I only have the following options:
. Default Output (this is the selected one)
. Default Output (again but only can select the 1st)
. HDMI Bitstream

KODI Configurations: KODI - System - Audio - Passtrough with AC3 and DTS activated

Result: Movie sound is in cuts. If I deactivate the Passtrough in KODI sound is ok.

2.Resolution
Android Settings: Display - HDMI Mode - 1920x1080p-60

My tv supports 4k at 3840x2160-20/30/50/60 but it R89/Wasser3.0.0b5 cannot recognize it and the best that work is 1920x1080p-50


Beside that just a few minor notes:
. Some apps make the screen rotate to vertical mode (not good at all considering I cannot rotate 65'' TV)
. ABOUT the device still shows wasser-3.0.0b3 (I even double checked if by mistake the download was B3...)

It would be nice to solve this issues...

HDMI bitstream is passthrough, I believe? It might also be KODI issue or was it working in previous ROM?

Maybe use an app to lock rotation?

My problem is, that netflix don`t start to stream. The netflix support can`t help by unsupportet tv boxes......
The networktest in netflix said, that all is ok....
Any idea?

I always seem to have problems with Pluto.tv app to view the guide. Works perfectly on Google ADT-1 but I haven't seen another tv box working properly. Wasser rom it rotates the screen and makes it unusable.

For now use some tool like "Set Rotation" and lock screen "in one place".

Ahhhh, it's sorted now. I had Internet problems. Great ROM, best so far for the R89. Thanks Wasser!

Wasser thanks for putting in the time for this rom. For me, the video has been perfect in kodi and plex. Netflix app works but will not load video at all. 5.1 audio through hdmi only comes out as 2.0 in plex and white noise in kodi. Also the screen scale in Android settings will not save.
