That may be dependent upon the content and specific use that you have for Kodi.
I would advise trying each version yourself in order to know which one suits you most.
I have been using 16.0 Monthly build lately and have been quite impressed with it.

Hi Wasser,
I had flashed two Beelink R-89 (2Gb/16 Gb) with RC3, both pcb v3.0, but whilst the first device flashed had been working very good, stable, the second one which it´s a little older than the first, the system became un-stable loosing the Wifi (using AC band) and crashing the system, constinously tryin to turn on and reconnect the wifi without success. So, apparently for me, only the newest pcb v 3.0 revision the RC3 Rom works OK, but not on the older.

Done and tested with every player but no sound at all through SPDIF I'm afraid.

Hi Wasser,
I tested this img+conf,but spidf not working,
Ubox-R98 , v3.0
I switched back to 2.09a + SPMC 14.2 for spdif.T-R42 v1.0 ; Ubox R89
