With RC2 I cannot direct play AC3 and DTS in Plex (a problem that keeps coming every few firmware releases)

RC3 release notes state that it's fixed but it isn't.

With RC1 it was working fine.

Just a reminder, I am using a tronsmart Orion R28 Pro.

I can't go back to Rc1. After flash , it stays at the wasser logo.

When downgrading it is adviced to do full NAND wipe. In Android Tool there is a button called "EraseFlash". Use it before flashing new partition image(s).

I don't see a "Wipe" button. Maybe you mean "EraseFlash"?

If yes , then it didn't help.

Yes, my mistake it should be "EraseFlash". If it didn't help then try to flash Wasser's KK v 2.0.9.

I was attempting exactly this last night, managed to get lollipop version of twrp flashed to flash the zip, but after flashing xposed it would rebuild apps and reboot afterwards over and over.

to sir wasser and bluesmanuk ........ after applying the fix steps wasser mentioned (overwrite the /system/etc/audio_policy.conf before you flash the resource-spdif-ll-19.09.img) ; SPDIF PASSTHROUGH using mxplayer 1.7.40 WORKED....... don't know how (based on previous comments by bluesmanuk!!!). but for spmc 15.0 still no sound (don't know about other versions , but kodi 15.0 spdif works but with weird slow video playback) .
don't know what to say. thank you wasser for such an amazing rom and hopefully you can do the same fix for spmc or share a working version.

I can only report my own findings based upon my use and tested many files but if it works for you then great.

Hopefully others can test and confirm their experiences.

it's really good new that SPDIF works in mxplayer. My request to people with spdiff issue, please test and report feedbacks if if you want spdif issue fixed. I don't have any ability to test SPDIF!

Please test it with other videoplayers too.

                            Thanks

                              I've just had a thought.

Gridlock are you using MX player with or without the custom audio codec applied?

Mxplayer 1.7.40 (but not with that installer-like codec). i'm using the codec file developed by xda developers ( the one you usually save in the download folder and then enable from the mxplayer codec settings) (actually mxplayer 1.7.40 recognizes it when you open the player for the first time. That is as long as you copy it or download it the download folder)...
This rom actually transforms the beelink R89 to a whole new level due to the amazing video quality... and the spdif passthrough support of course 😊
hopefully sir wasser can provide us with a working spmc version , since (as you've mentioned before and tested by me) got no sound (the tested version is spmc 15.0 and strangely kodi 15 gives dts and dolby digital sound via SPDIF passthrough, but with horrible and slow video playback)....
Wasser , the God of roms . thanks a million
