Inphic SPOT i5 S805 media Player

I was only looking on native Android settings, my mistake. I'm using Nova Launcher. It was ticked on 12 mins.

Tried to flash the new update, recievied an error put me into recovery, tried to flash from within recovery, same thing happened again. Phone not finding photo to upload, post it from laptop soon.
Booted back up, still in 20151218 firmware.
I'll keep trying....

*EDIT*- started afresh, flashed no problem, seems stable, I had a bit of a stutter on Netflix last night, on the last firmware, that's gone now.
Everything seems stable enough, will see how adjusting cpu and memory affects it, so far everything seems okay.

P.S. thanks for the English recovery, the Chinese one on my phone means I need to look up Google if anything goes wrong!

I updated my unit and all the same, Viddon XBMC freez all device, any solution from inphic??

Please, follow these 4 steps:





1. From Google Play, look for: terminal emulator


Install the app, do not need to open for now.





2. From your SPOT i5, open the internet navigator (browser) and type this URL:

http://goo.gl/htH6VV

There is not a web page to be opened there, but you will see a file downloading. Wait until finish the download.





3. Now open the terminal emulator downloaded on step 1

It will show you "$"

Now type:

su

cp /storage/sdcard0/Download/20151223_freez1.zip /cache

reboot recovery

4. After reboot you will see the recovery menu

Use the remote and choose: "apply update from cache"

Now select: 20151223_freez1.zip

After finish it will return to recovery menu, just choose "reboot system now"



When your system back, please, have a try with Kodi again and let us know.

Im a- new user here. I have readed all post and i am in the same way other users. After update, kodi (several versión) and vidon freeze and i must reboot the inphic. I upgraded via recovery several times with the 28-12 firmware, and with or without data wipe. The result is the same, several seconds after start kodi or vidon, system freeze.
I tried to apply the test you put here, but i cant go inphic.com today, sever like be down.
Is there some place where i can obtain the original firmware? With it all work perfect
I like to try new firmwares and test, but i like can go back if possible.

We have been doing some changes and our website has been down for some hours. We are sorry for this.

It is working again, but, please, wait a little before install the update. We are going to upload a new one today.

Hi all,I have been playing with this box again, trying to stop it from freezing vid-on and just freezing for no reason.
Have tried all firmware that I could load and had no joy.
My unit is that bad I only have to scroll through the icons and it would freeze.
The firmware below I flashed (150401) and then install all my apps including vid-on.
The unit has been running for over 24hours now and there has been now freezing on any of my apps.
When you flash with this firmware the remote and wi-fi will not work so I use a Rii mimi i25 remote and ethernet.
If you want to go back to any other firmware you will have to short out pins 29 and 30 on the eMMC flash Foresee NCEFES78-08G.
Have not tried firmware 150630 yet.
Will do so and see if there is any difference.
It would been interesting to know what is different in this firmware to make it work.
Do this at your one risk!!!!!!!

We are pre-testing an update. A problem for us is that we could not find any box freezing here, so we can not really replicate the problem.

Just to say:

Be careful flashing these firmwares. After that you will need to disassemble the SPOT i5 and shortcut the memory if you want to flash your device again.
