superceleron had to flash back to stock firmware . Plugging in my usb hard drive (laptop drive in a usb 2.0 enclosure) was causing the box to reset immediately when it was plugged in about half the time (no other usb device caused it, just the drive so I'm thinking driver issue or something), and sometimes even doing the "optimizing apps" like it was the first boot afterwards. Even when it didn't reset, the drive would often drop connection and reconnect while reading like it wasn't getting enough power, even with both ends of the Y cable plugged in. I tried reflashing superceleron a few times to see if it was a bad flash, it would work for a little bit after a reflash then start doing it again.

flashed back to stock and it still behaves a little oddly but it at least works and doesn't force a restart on the box when I plug it in.

Edit: guess it isnt fixed, now it's happening on the stock rom too after flashing it yesterday. No idea why this problem only surfaces after its been flashed for awhile, maybe the enclosure is to blame or there's something wrong with my box, or some app/driver issue that builds up over time. Sorry I blamed it on your rom, It was working fine with stock for a full day.

Hmm dunno what it could be, since i dont use a external hdd only my home network... if i get sometime i will try it with a external hdd to see if is a bug in the software or is your box that have hw problems.

It could just be my drive/enclosure trying to pull more than 500ma when it spins up, but doesn't really explain why it drops connection so much once it starts or why it doesn't do it after a fresh flash, but my phone that charges at ~500ma off the usb port doesn't cause this at all. Gonna grab a new enclosure and see what happens, I mostly need it for my dad who isn't too computer/internet savvy :P.

Hi I'm Having difficulty flashing the rom. The burn tool connects the box stops with the Q on the screen it starts the flash but gets an enum error when erasing the bootloader. Should I be unticking the erase bootloader option?? or is there something else awry?? Click image for larger version

I seems ok but was cheap, can you recommend one? all I can find is cheap ones on e bay and amazon. Could it be because its a usb 3.0 cable?

I bought a monoprice cable on amazon (Monoprice 1.5-Feet USB 2.0 A Male to A Male 28/24AWG Cable (Gold Plated) (105441)), bought from monoprice on amazon so I can't vouch for the cable sold by other sellers. It works fine and seems to be pretty good quality, was only about $3 shipped. Also make sure you've tried different ports especially if you were using front ports, or try a different pc if you have access to one.

I used burning tool v2.0.8 on windows 8, you may have luck trying a different version of the tool though.

Well the new enclosure still causes it to reboot if I plug it in while the box is on, not sure what's causing that but it doesn't drop connection while reading now so I can live with it.

never had any problems with mine, I too use a laptop 2.5" hdd in an usb 2.0 enclosure. your issue seems not to be rom related, more like either the box or hdd.

Yeah I'm thinking its a power supply issue or something similar, but it works as long as I plug it in before booting up. I basically got the box for ~$20 usd so I'm not too worried about it. Thanks for the great rom superceleron, much better than the stock rom .

I havent flashed this box before and had a couple questions.
I have the PigFlyTech PFQ-Q10 box listed below.

When looking at device info, it says "QBOX" and came in an OTT box. 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM, Android 5.1, Pre-Rooted.

This box looks identical to other Q-Box's and specs are identical.
I wanted to make sure that it would be compatible.

If so, is there a way to do a full backup of the system and recovery images incase they need to be restored, i.e. pull the images via fastboot?
                                Any help would be appreiated.

                                Thanks.
