I only tell my experience, maybe my chip had a malfunction and only happened to me. But I see that there are others with problems here.
Yep it's possible, but actually, and i decompiled around 20 similar devices fw, no traces of different implementation of AP212A fw.
The very big problem of our devices are antennas, i told you many times, a piece of scotch with few copper wire it's not exactly what i call antenna.

This is an automatic translation of the Google translator, so there are errors and I apologize.

      Hello.
This is my first post so I should thank all the information provided, especially Xannytech for the huge work in this excellent rom.

I installed this version in the my Nexbox A95X 2g/8g, that work perfect, except Bluetooth.
I'm reading and researching everything to solve the problem I have. The bluetooth does not work. It does not detect devices and when I turn it on, after 4 seconds it turns itself off.

      Someone can help.
      thank you

Everything seems to be working for me on x96 except for one thing. I cant power the box on with the remote if I shut it down. I have to unplug it and plug it back in again.

Actually for some reason pressing number 2 on the remote makes it power on.

That's odd because on x96 remote.conf the number 2 has code 0x0d and the mini m8sii on button is code 0x51, but 0x0d on mini m8sii is assigned (I think) to the enter/ok key. The nexbox remote does not have any button assigned to the code 0x0d, that's the reason none of the buttons can wake the box up. The code 0x0d maybe has to do with the tv remote ok/enter button waking up the box. I think that is a cec side effect. That happen to me and it's a bit annoying because I always forget to switch off the box and it boots again. So I've been investigating a bit. With the testing nexbox bootloader (from beta2 if I'm not wrong) the tv ok button issue is solved, so I flashed it and got an old universal remote which has a search device function and tried to find a device code that woke up the box and it was a success. Then I programmed the blue on/off button of the nexbox remote (it has 5 buttons that can be programmed) and now I have a button for wake the box up and the normal button to power off.

About hdmi self adaptation level 2 (or policy_fr_auto = 2) it works with spmc even if the "Adjust Display Refresh Rate" option is off, so the refresh rate fix (chmod 666 /sys/class/display/mode) is not necessary. If we revert that fix (chmod 644 /sys/class/display/mode) then kodi 16.1 and earlier versions can be used without the black screen issue and the autorefresh level 2 function works.

I've been unable to find the code that wakes the box up with the testing nexbox bootloader. What modifications did you do to the bootloader to avoid the tv remote on button waking up the box?

i simply tried to use a different but sort of "universal bootloader" i found to do a test, but that caused some issues in some memory locations (bootloader distorted for ex.) and problem for user used to flash with zip method.
So from beta 3 i reverted and used mini m8s bootloader.
Without possibility for now to decompile bootloader and recompile it i cannot understand and do more, but if i could understand more probably something could be done.

So the problem with flashing the zip was not the update script not flashing the system but the bootloader?

Honestly from my experimentations yes, using just .img, i can correct some parameters and build, with zip method, it's different, i should try combinations of... etc. etc. but i own just my box, so sometimes, as i wrote before i use you as guinea pigs, it's the only way to do tests. And now i'm in short of freetime.
MINI M8S II it's a wonderful compatible device almost any thing i flash works, more or less, but some less "universal" device like nexbox, it's a pain in the ass. Not just for me but also for manufacturer you don't know... but they also has bad times packing things and i found some things decompiling.
Then some of the manufacturers lacks in frameworks programming and i found some stupid things inside... anyway i try to extract the best and bring to the users mixing in my custom.
But if users like you, bajann and some others help me catching new things many improvements could be done in short time for all.

Is kodi Jarvis supposed to work? When I try to use it it prepares for it's first run then just hangs on a black screen I can only get Krypton to work, but the theme I use won't work on Krypton.

why don't you use SPMC? Everything works on kodi 16 works on SPMC.

I'll give it a try thanks. Kodi 15.2 opens but the screen goes the wrong size all stratched and I have to reboot.

Everything else seems perfect even the remote.conf is perfect when the box is on. I can still press 2 to power it on from standby.

I tried a85x stock firmware yesterday on it but found it very sluggish and the home button not working was really annoying.

Same happened me. I had to set up the USB tool and hit start first, then plug in the cable to my pc and it started. The box doesn't need the power cable plugged in it powers through USB for the process.
