The updater is now signed, and so can be installed in the Update & Backup app, the stock recovery, or TWRP. It's recommended for incremental updates, since user data is preserved. Bootloader, boot partition and system partition are included, but not recovery (just in case something goes wrong). If you're installing for the first time, I'd really recommend the full Amlogic burn package...or at least doing a factory reset after update.

Update: Wait, is that last photo from another board? Regardless, the 6335 chipset seems to use the Broadcom BCM4335 drivers and those are also bundled in the Sunvell firmware.
Tell me Magendaz, is it possible to compile a rom including a package of drivers to make is as much compliant as possible for different hardware ? (Request for the S905X version also :-) )
Anyway i'm waiting joyfully for a little add-on to make my 6335 radio chip work :-)

Besides, any paypal link to buy you a coffee?

Well, that seems the only practical approach, since I just don't have the bandwidth to keep creating custom ROMs or even updaters for every possible wireless chipset. It will take some time to aggregate all those drivers and ensure they don't conflict. In particular, it's hard to get current drivers from a lot of these Chinese chipset manufacturers, and they only share with OEMs. If you know a good repository, please pass it on.

Well i'm juste a little user unlike Godly Devs as yourself, Phrajister Superceleron or Kszaq... :-)
I wish i could provide but...

Juste a question by curiosity : do the devs exchange item with each other ?
I guess each has quite a lot of ressources

As the most recent member welcomed to FreakTab's "ROM Developer" club, I was pleasantly surprised (almost overwhelmed) at the willingness to share resources. We've got a Google Hangouts group going continuously throughout the day with folks exchanging information, and since people are located throughout the globe the pace never really lets up.

Yes its always a big issue as some manufactures change hardware designs up to 3 -4 times. Even seeing devices with 2 different memory chips in the same board so it would impossible to keep a list of all those devices into one firmware. But reminding people to buy supported devices most pratical approch. (We all see how many posts re 30 dollar device from no name manufacture and nothing works SURPRISE )
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

                I agree partially :-)
Indeed hardware changes are frequent but aside these radio chips, the 30€ chinese boxes share 95% hardware specs.
Same for the GT1 with different Wifi chips (for which this rom was first designed)

My S905X Nexbox/Tanix/MiniM8s work flawless with any rom (sometimes Wifi is missing, yes)

                Just need a different driver for my Akaso/Sunvell(GT1 !) T95K pro :-)

Could you please create a firmware for 3GB RAM box? Thanks

If that even affects the device tree blob, it should be a relatively insignificant change. I wouldn't think more RAM or larger eMMC would necessitate another custom ROM. Have you tried this one?

I tried on m8s plusii, 3gb ram, it shows 2gb only in memory.

Okay, I found a stock ROM for this device and will look at the device tree to see if there are other major hardware differences. It really shouldn't require a DTB update to take advantage of more RAM, but you never know with these things. They could have reserved large portions of the address space for other purposes.

Hi Magendanz, in the wake do you think there's a solution for my 6535 radio chip? :-)

We're trying to pull together a repository of wireless drivers to create an app that will allow you to install the appropriate one for your chipset. This is a long-term project, though. We're starting first with the remote.conf files, which are simpler. If that goes well, we'll talk about expanding the app to include wireless drivers.

                              What a great rom. Unbelievable.
                              Thank you @Magendanz and @superceleron

Ha! I switched to the Fugu (Nexus Player) notification bar because of a user request just like yours. It's an easy switch to put it back. What do others think?
