Is it possible to move widgets between categories? For example, from the game to apps?

First when i got to register by phone i was like! Ohhh what have you done and was prepared to install another , but i did as i said and must say that the install over phone or another android unit was very easy.

otherwise it worked great only problem was Netflix the one who installs on the "homepage" dont work , but i downloaded another and installed and now that work to,
One thing you should ad is the Joystick options that Superceleron has on his release its great.
Otherwise its very stable and im a bit suprised that it worked so good.

next beer donation goes to you =)

That's implemented in the AtvCustomization.apk, I believe. I haven't seen OEM documentation on it, but the PureNexus version has different categories and promotes apps like Kodi, so it must be possible.

The post at http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...imate-20170224 contains a link to the latest Beelink GT1 Ultimate factory image (GT1_311M0).

After setting up and trying out your brilliant Android TV ROM on a relative's Beelink GT1 for a few days, I encountered something unusual when I took the device back to his house. Shortly after it connected to his WiFi network, I noticed that the connection would drop and reconnect frequently (as in every minute). This was a surprise to me because I experienced no such issues at my house. I had him power cycle his modem / router (Bell Home Hub 2000 AKA Sagemcom F@st 5250) and I restarted the Beelink GT1 multiple times but that didn't solve the problem. I then accessed his modem / router's control panel and noticed that it used a shared SSID for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless bands. After I disabled that option and had the device connect to one of two separate SSIDs, the connection became stable. I think this is worth mentioning here because back when he had the Beelink (GT1_106M0) firmware installed, he did not experience that issue even with the shared SSID for both wireless bands.

I'm also wondering if it's possible to alter or customize the speed of the Beelink remote's mouse function. It moves too slowly for practical use compared to an actual mouse or touchpad. The Mouse Toggle app that I use on my Nexus Player moves the cursor at a better speed with the remote.

Thanks for the OEM ROM, GNex5! It's odd that they're sending this out to individual customers before posting it in their own forum. I'm also surprised that they went with the AMPAK AP6255 wireless chipset, which hardly seems the "ultimate" upgrade over the Qualcomm QCA9377. I'm looking forward to digging into this new ROM, but on initial inspection I'm not seeing a whole lot that's new other than the usual timestamp changes from rebuilding. (Details on these "expected" difference are documented by Google here.) I'll dig a little deeper over the weekend, though.

Since I base my custom ROMs on the original Beelink GT1 OEM firmware, there really shouldn't be any difference in behavior when it comes to wireless performance or reliability. There's really nothing that I'm replacing that's related to that.

And as for the remote control cursor speed, I believe that's a property of the remote control hardware itself. I was actually a big fan of the original Mini MXIII remote, which seemed to have a much faster IR transmission rate that resulted in much smoother cursor movement. I don't believe that's configurable in the ROM.

If you think it's likely that you'll release an Android TV ROM for the GT1 Ultimate, that would be enough reason for me to buy one. I'm not familiar with the performance of the wireless chipsets you mentioned, though. Is the AP6255 considered to be inferior?

That makes sense. At the very least, maybe someone else who encounters the same problem will find a possible solution in that post.

I noticed that the Mouse Toggle app for Android TV can be activated with the Xiaomi Mi Box remote by using the volume down and volume up key combination.

If the Beelink GT1 remote uses the same Android key codes for its volume up and down buttons, do you think that it might work with this app? I emailed the developer in the past about adding support for the FLIRC dongle but he has not implemented that feature, unfortunately, which means that original remotes may be the only compatible options.

Are you sure about that? My wireless router's 5 GHz band is currently on channel 153. It works fine with the Beelink GT1 (32 GB model) which I tested but that was purchased last year and may have a different wireless chipset inside.

Just a quick message to say i installed your ROM on my Beelink GT1 yesterday and it works really well!

Please keep up the development for the Beelink GT1. Many thanks, Darren

Thanks, Darren! At this point I'm just hoping to get the Chromecast receiver working more broadly, but I will maintain this ROM as we get new firmware updates from Beelink and incremental builds from Open GApps.

Thank you, that's great to hear. I made the assumption that any Android Box device I would buy would support an Android TV ROM, so I was a bit frustrated to find out the Beelink GT1 didn't have such a ROM initially. I was happy to stumble across your efforts!

One potential bug I've found - I attempted to pair a PS4 controller via the SixAxis Pair Tool on Google Play, but on clicking 'Pair' the app crashed. I assume it encounters something it does not like? Any assistance you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Some DRM-protected content will require Widevine Level 1 certification, which this unit doesn't have. Basically, in order to even apply for this, the OEM would need to lock down the bootloader, which would prohibit installing any custom ROMs.
