It should be ok to install, I would double check your wifi chip.
if you have the same one as mine, the wifi may not work after the flashing of the box.... then you would have to use your Ethernet port.

            Love the rom.

But VPN isn't available. Is this a known a issue?

VPN was working on the default firmware.

Also no bluetooth but tbh I can't remember if there was bluetooth originally and isn't a biggie.

VPN is becoming a deal breaker for me unfortunately. Any suggestions or alternative roms?

Also tried installing another rom, but since installing this ROM, pushing the AV(Reset) button on powering up doesn't do anything.

I've tried booting into recovery but then I can't use vol up/down to navigate either.

              Any advice on this too?

                Thanks for the input.
I pose my situation. I have my MXQ pro 4k with Wi-Fi chip RTL8723bs. The tutorial worked correctly and the PC recognized the box very well. I did this because the box remained in the presentation and did not advance from there. But after doing this flashing the blue light did not come on and the original remote control does not turn on the box (I do not know if it is because the control does not work with the new flash). On the other hand I read that you would have to download a flash for android (obtained from China Gadgets) but I do not know if that is the right solution. Finally, yesterday I read that it could be the transformer that suddenly does not work but I do not know how to test this (I do not have another similar transformer). Apparently the board is correct so the PC recognizes it (with a male-male USB cable). I do not know what else to do or where to go and if you can guide me, it would be very useful.
Thank you in advance and request all the information you need.
                Regards!

cOOLiocOOLio installed this firmware successfully and it’s working all fine but there’s no Netflix app on play store and apk version they all crash. Don’t know much about it but I think you need widewine drm or something to make it work. I hope this firmware already included but it’s great firmware so far. Thanks heaps great job qapp mate. @ coolio

Love the firmware, but after a day or so from installing it, my mxq pro 4k continues to freeze, lags, or gives a stuttering sound . I need suggestions.

Can I flash with temporary TWRP? Have 'green' p201 mobo. Thanks in advance.

                            Dear all,

I finally succeeded to install this beautiful firmware on a Transpeeds 2G/8G p201 media box but with a workaround I discovered by accident. The regular way (as explained in this forum) did not work, so I decided to install a libreelec build for better performance and viewing experience. I can guarantee that the libreelec build fixes all kinds of framedrop/judder issues for this box. Then I decided to install that same libreelec to the internal memory causing the standard recovery options to be overwritten (search for "s905" on the libreelec website for instructions). So I could not initiate the standard recovery anymore. Then out of curiosity, I tried to flash coolio's firmware again with the sd card method and suprisingly this time it worked (push reset button and turn on etc...). The firmware installed perfectly and works quite well. Perhaps it's a way for those who want to try this firmware on this box.

I just have one question for coolio: Can you perhaps make a build with a 2g ram option? That way the full capacity of this box can be utilised. A second question perhaps: Can we expect a version 6.0 of your excellent firmware?

Thanks in advance and looking forward to your replies.

                            regards,

                            Iron

cOOLio hi and thank you for your excellent work even on a so old hardware platform. Trying to give a new life to my leelbox Q1 master, and I have two questions for you: the first one is: why don't you consider to make even the flashable zip file? It would be more straight forward in my opinion. The second question is: are you ending your project with Android lollipop or are you considering to upgrade to 6.0 your base-firmware? Just asking because many 6.0 ROMs for p201 hardware have been pushed out by OEMs.

Thank you in advance for the answers
