So I am getting the same error at 9% with pretty much every mxq pro img file I could find online (and I have tried at least 6 different versions).

My log file shows this error:

The error is on the last line.

Does anyone know what file it is looking for? A file on my PC, or a file on the tv box?

Any experience? Are there something missing in the hardware?

Great Rom works awesome on my MXQ Pro, so I decided to flash it to my ACEMAX K3 s905 with BCM4335 wifi chip. However, the ROM boots well except for not having Wifi or Ethernet connectivity. Has anyone tried to modify this rom for the K3 s905?. It's a great box with the 5.1 with 802.11ac and gigabit ethernet would love run ATV on it. I can provide the latest factory firmware dated 12-25-16. thanks.

                  Hi all,

I'm new on here so hello! I'm not new to flashing sat boxes or android phones but bugger me if this box hasn't driven me insane!! Mods - if this is in the wrong place I apologise and please move to the correct one

SOLVED = S905 AML MXQ Pro (not anything else, just that) generic box. Rooting worked using minix_u1_ez_root. Installing TWRP3 vegas worked but wouldn't update and couldn't see any partitions when either restore or install was chosen. No answer found on why that was on my many searches.

So, I was unable to update rom's using any method on here apart from (after about 9 hours!) I found Burn card maker AND original MXQpro-8189-160608-puersite.img. This combination finally reflashed my soft bricked box. Strangely the supplied IR remote worked in standard recovery mode but won't work in the puersite rom.

I finally had an idea. Why not change the name of the Coolio rom to the same as the puersite.img.... it worked! That was the only way any other image would install.

Wifi works - you have to go through the settings page to enable using the gears icon

                  Problems:
IR remote isn't working - any ideas how to fix that please?

I hope that helps anyone else stuck with an box that won't upgrade and recoveries that won't play.

ps. And all I wanted to do was install Android 6x or sdrobots rom, which I still can't do!

Is it possible to remove the leanback launcher and have a clean desktop to just have app icons?

Hello! Your work looks so awesome, I thought no one would make a custom firmware to this androidtv, but I was mistaken. I want to know if there is a way to flash the firmware through a pendrive because I don't have a usb to usb cable. My model is the p201, thank you.

                        Lucaseaux,

Read this and have a search for it this was the only way I flashed mine. Nothing else would work at all.

                          Great work!

Works nice and smooth on a Nexbox A95 S905 1G/8G. It's basically brought it back to life too.

However the IR remote is the only thing not working - works when I flash back to the factory Nexbox A95 ROM. Is there anything I can do via root and terminal/root explorer to change the IR Remote compatibility or will I need to recompile using the remote config from the original working ROM? Thanks.

Hi Coolio, thanks for this absolutely amazing Rom. It has really transformed my S905 box, and improved performance so much.

I am working with a Sunvell T95M, which has a S905 processor and an RTL8723BS wifi chip, and the flash went smoothly, boot was quick, and after rebooting performance was great. First boot didn't recognise WiFi Chip, but rebooted it and now the WiFi works fine! Thanks!

I have only one gripe, and I completely understand why it is like this. I know that your MXQ Pro 4K doesn't have bluetooth built in, and therefore you obviously wouldn't have needed any bluetooth drivers in the ROM. But my Sunvell T95M DOES have bluetooth built in, and with this ROM the bluetooth just isn't recognised. Now, I appreciate the work you've done already by compiling the ROM, but could you possible add bluetooth support, or guide me as to how I can add the correct Bluetooth driver to the ROM?

Would make this the perfect ROM ever for me!

(I should add that the performance of the box is about 5x better when turning WiFi off, and using only Ethernet. Not sure if fault with driver, or what but that's just my experience.

Hi and thanks for the wonderful work that you done on this rom.

I took a chance and installed it on a Sumvision Cyclone x4+ and as for as I can see, every thing is working just fine.
