I was a big fan of CMFileManager, but then it had troubles running in Nougat and LineageOS dropped support. Source code is available here, so it would be nice to find someone willing to maintain it.

So which file manager are you using now?

I generally just use the TWRP File Manager for stuff that requires root access.

MiXplorer, Solid Explorer, Total Commander, Root Explorer....the usual well known file managers...

p.s. Does somebody found a solution to play Amazon Prime Video on full hd and not just 480p ?

I have 20170817.103347.V0321 stock rom. The box had shortcut only from youtube tv version in "apps" menu. I unistalled youtube tv version and installed youtube mobile version. My problem is that the tv box doesn't create shortcut from youtube mobile version. Why? And how can I create a shortcut from youtube mob ver?

Thank you for the answer but I didn't understand what sould I do. I created an apk and installed it, but I didn't do something..

EDIT: Also I tried with the tv app repo and it said "built failed".

For every one who want to change default Launcher, here a tutorial from 4pda .

First. Need a root
Install Root Explorer Explorer with root resolution.
I go to the system / app I delete the lancer VSLauncher2
Download Nova Launcher r from the market or it is possible with 4PDA, in the settings we allow lancher system settings, in the settings of Nova Launcher I make it the default by default, in build.prop I delete the line ro.platform.has.vslauncher2 = true
Reboot the box.
All at once you will have a Nova Launcher.

I can't use any ROM so I have to make the Stock to look as I want

HI, I got the M8S Pro 3 - 32GB today, I don't know if it's the correct 3d but I'm looking for help for root it and install a vnc + smb server + busybox. Anyone can help me? My device have an android tv version 7.1.1 and no reset button (for be sure i totally disassembled my device but no frontal or under motherboard reset button) seem like they have removed it . I was able to reset by shorting the 2 pins where the reset button should be but no way to install any bootloader via microsd. Sorry in advance for my bad english and thank's in advance for any help u can give me

Hi Jeffers: I have the same problem with Wifi... Sometimes the Wifi signal gone and after 5 seconds come again. I do not the reason. May be through some applications or through the box. I try some different firmwares, but I cannot eliminate this Wifi problem...

Hi, the MeCool box which couldn't connect to wifi was a friends box. I have since taken the box to my home and connected it to my wifi without any problem. So I plan to go to my friends tomorrow to see if I can connect the box to their wifi or find out what the problem is.

While using the Mecool I have had it freeze a couple of times and when I picked up the MeCool it felt very hot, so I am wondering if it has an overheating problem. I had a USB memory stick plugged in one of the USB ports and that was very hot so I have taken out the USB, powered the MeCool back on and I am running it turned upside down so the air vents are at the top to see if it runs any cooler.

When your box freezes feel how hot it is?

Do you have any USBs plugged in, if you do and don't need to have them plugged in take them out.

My USB memory sticks get hot in all android boxes, but only my MeCool box suffers freezes.

Since I took my USB stick out and turned the MeCool box upside down it is running a lot cooler and has not frozen again yet :-)

Regards wifi the best practice is don't use it. I have all my boxes connected with an Ethernet cable to my router, it is my friend who is using wifi because they can't run an extension cable.

In one of my setups to get my router next to my android box and TV I bought a telephone extension cable (you can buy ready made flat telephone or Ethernet cables of various lengths on Amazon)

My advice to you is to run a telephone extension cable to site your router near your MeCool/TV. Or, run a long Ethernet cable from your router to your MeCool.

I think my friends problem is not the MeCool wifi but something in their home, which I will look at tomorrow.

I am more concerned about the MeCool freezing which may be due to getting too hot :-(
