Note that a couple of the Android TV apps (e.g. remote services) assume Bluetooth support, so you won't get those features. On the other hand, the Widevine L1 support seems to have some impact, since Netflix for Android TV runs fine right off the Google Play Store.

You can install normal apps in ATV?

Yes, but you've got to download them from ApkMirror and then open them in the browser or DocumentsUI.apk (Files app). Google Play for Android TV doesn't coexist well with the version for mobile.

I hate to admit it, but I hadn't realized that there was no Bluetooth support on this device until I started running into problems building the custom Android TV ROM. For me, that's a real deal breaker because I use a Bluetooth universal remote and often use Bluetooth headsets when I work out and at night so as not to disturb my wife. This box really would have been perfect, if it weren't for that major shortfall.

With no Widevine L1 support on the M8S Pro, we can't even recommend that customers upgrade to the S912.

Netflix 1080P, really? Are yuo sure? I thought it was limited to 720P even with the modified APK.
