        Thank you!
I will do it like you say. Unfortunately, I will have to wait for when I have more time, since for that type of install it takes more time.

Only reason I don't included OTA zip is because I know people don't read the first post properly and this firmware requires you to burn the image the first time so it can repartition the system to 1GB to give an extra 1GB to data..

If people ignore that and just flash the OTA it will bootloop
Then they will come here saying it doesn't work.. bricked my device! etc.

Seeing the same questions asked all the time and replying to them constantly because people don't read the first post takes a toll on you.. main reason I never stick around long on these forms haha

Exactly, I've seen a lot of it there in the other topic belonging to my device. If you want something to be well done is need to do it from scratch. This will prevent multiple errors.

This remote is made for minix box so you wont ever be to power on the box with this remote as are bootloader dose not have the IR code for its power button.

contact minix for the correct remote.conf those people in that forum I linked you to post incorrect stuff.. hence the reason for Patch1
with correct remote.conf it should work while box is on look back 50+ pages for a user name KodiSocks I helped them get this working while box is on
The Minix remotes have an IR power button so you need to find out the ircode and I just replaced it in the remote.conf file. There is a weird thing in this rom because every remote ir codes have the same factory code so you can't have different remote configurations. The ircode for my power button was the volume up of the original remotes so I just changed that.

Hi friend, did you have the Minix control work properly on your Box with this firmware? Could you make available the modified files you use in your firmware for the exotic34 friend to use in his firmware?

Hey tillaz87 in its first ATV builds you used firmware with 64Bits, which happened that forced you to abandon this architecture. When I bought my TVBox I thought I would play using Dolphin emulator but for my sadness it was a 32bits firmware. lol

Mate, 64bit is the least of your problems with s912 Soc.. dolphin emulator struggles on the shield TV, and the X1 GPU has about 25 times more power.

I ditched beelink base because this runs better and supports multiple devices, 32bit is less bloated, and difference on this hardware wouldn't be noticeable

I understand your point of view.
But, initially I read the 1st post. I just couldn't see the connection between that information and the non existence of OTA.
Before posting, I searched in here, but over 160 pages of posts I couldn't find an answer. Hence my question.
Thank you for the explanation. Now, I understand why there is no OTA update. Simply, there is not suppose to be.

I finally got an order for a Mecool M8S Pro 2GB--16GB. This time I hope my $38 does become fruitful.

Gosh, for the longest time I feel like a lurker with very little to offer, so once I get my hands on my box, I hope to be a non lurker. Ha!

If you don't mind, I like to do mods and will update what can be done further with small customisations. I can only give out how to stuff, as i have no way to create OTA updates to flash with. So i assume 90% of your followers will be lost. Maybe somebody can pickup the tab and post some updates based on my mods if they so choose to.

It will probably be a month for my box to arrive, via slow mail.

X my fingers I get the 9377 chip just because I prefer it over the other offerings. None the less I expect to use ethernet only connection for bidirectional and speedy sharing and streaming.
Also I hold the strong belief to only use wifi on portable devices only. Only if my neighbors were so smart. They have eaten up all 2.4ghz band with overlapping smart devices that should have been wired. They don't see they are creating their own downfall with best signals and speeds. What the hay, they pay for 1gb links so they can afford to be wasteful with their connectivity.

Now only if i can change my account name from X92-2GB to M8SP-16
