Probably not. I'd try one of the newer OEM firmware releases first, just to see if that succeeds. If it ends up hanging shortly after boot, you'll need to revert to the M8S_PRO+-20170829.121614.V0321.img OEM firmware that was flashed in the factory using USB Burning Tool. Or, at that point you've got a decent RMA claim and can ask for your money back.

Yes, you should be fine with the Toshiba eMMC.

1/ all the Toshiba chips?
2/ the Toshiba chips <whatever> THGBMBG7D2KBAIL <whatever>?
3/ only the Toshiba chip with the following reference "1652KAE THGBMBG7D2KBAIL VD5815 CHINA"?

For instance mine is entering in the 2nd category and is coming from Taiwan: 16259AE THGBMBG7D2KBAIL KSY101 TAIWAN. Should I also be fine or should I avoid the flashing?

We've only found the problem happens with the Samsung eMMC 5.1 chipset (KLMAG1JENB - B041), batches SEC 652 to 713. No one has reported it with any Toshiba or Kingston eMMC chips.

Can i flash firmware :"update_M8S_PRO+-V0619_TVStock-20171210" by local update with wipe data?

It should...unless you get one of the bad batch with eMMC chips that won't fully flash.

Has anyone benchmarked running Kodi app within Guest ATV versus running LIBRELEC ? Do we really need to dual boot if we heavily use Kodi addons?

yep, but you need something more in order to play the content.
By default, chrome launch prime application (which is not working properly on this box)

lezioul, Sorry, only just saw this reference to my post. Yes, you need Amazon Web View or Amazon Viewer installed along with Chrome. The easiest way to do this is to first install the Aptoide store, which has both. I've posted a link for the file here, which I'll keep up for a week or so.

No, they're not compatible. However, I've made Nexus custom ROM builds for the M8S Pro W. Just search for them.

Hello guys. I hope really somebody can help.
I think, I shouldn´t have do a factory reset as I cannot enter TWRP and NAND mask mode anymore. I can still see NEXUS bootscreen.
I also tried SD-Card/USB-stick method, but nothing works...

If you can see the boot logo, you're bootloader is probably intact. Use USB Burning Tool to flash the burn package (.img file).

I already tried the burning tool, but the box doesn´t get recognized anymore... If I try the reset button method, the LED becomes Blue immediately.
