Yes Sir, stuck there. the first time I booted it I don't know how it worked but when I logged in the system couldn't enable Bluetooth and WiFi, so I took the ota update and reset and now I'm just stuck... I tried searching this forum for the LB stock firmware but that too I couldn't find unfortunately, to see if I can go back to the original baseline minus this ota upgrade

There is no stock firmware for the "LB", as I am aware of, but there is a TWRP backup for that firmware floating around here someplace. You are the first person that has issues with that remote on this site, that I am aware of..........

One thing that works for me, when I use that remote for another device and then go back to this device I have to remove the batteries and re-insert them. That works for me..... give it a try. Also, after I re-insert the batteries, I reboot my box, hold my remote a few inches from the box while depressing both the "OK" and "-" buttons until the box pairs, can take a few minutes.

there is indeed a stock firmware for the LB version.if you go to freaktab download page you will find it.use usb burning tool and install from there and you will get back to condition as you got it.

Hi, how would i load this on to my Mecool m8s pro LB ?? and is there a way to go back to my original imagine by using the USB burning tool method which i can do confidently, I got my box on Saturday and after a couple of hour, had trouble with my play store, so after deleting data and the cache thought i could do a factory reset.
This is where all my problem come from, after resetting, the start up color symbol would just stay there, so after many hour of trying to load the nexus Rom from the recovery (hitting the menu button on start up) i resorted by loading it using the USB burning tool and shorting it, by using the paper clip method, but with no WiFi and no voice control but at least i had it working, but would like to go back to the original imagine.

The link is for the latest stock firmware for LB variant.just use burning tool to load and short pins like you have.you can then do what you want.

Im a noob so kindly excuse, but what do you mean by usb burning tool and shorting, I supposed there is a pin to be inserted in the backside hole and USB burning tool auto connects and we wrote the image directly on the device flash via pc connection and usb to usb male,and that's all per https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80U_eXgvitY . Do I need to short the pins necessarily and open the box for any new image flashing? I too am almost in the same boat as I want to load supermal image to go back on my new lb box

Thanks Sir, you come to the rescue again..I will do it now since my posts to the vendor go un understood, seems they are just resellers with no freakin clue..want to try going back to March OEM version of this box before considering a return

I, as have a lot of people on here, have swapped firmwares many, many times. I can do it in my sleep..... For this device without the reset button, I open the box and use a paper clip to short the two narrow "holes" (from the pic), and plug the USB cable into the rear USB port (it is the OTG port). You don't need to power the box either. However, some of the front mounted USB ports on your computer (if a desktop computer), may not supply enough power. I usually use my powered USB hub, but if you don't have a powered USB hub, try different USB ports on your computer, it your computer does not recognize your box when you connect it.

There are other methods to swap firmwares, but this is the best method.

Hi, sorry I’m in work but it the way clarkss12 said, I had a USB cable with 2 connection on one end and 1 on the other end and use a paper clip to short it as clark12 said.
will update when I try it later.

Hi, just unzipped the file and tried to import the recovery image file on USB burning tool but it says parse burning iamge fail.
The file size was 86.8 MB is this the correct one ?

Do not unzip file.and for others trying to recover there boxes using usb burning tool you can have power plug connected as well as the usb to usb cable.maybe it needs it for more power.M8S_PRO_L-NHG47L-20180316.143701.V0213.img (1.08 GB)
freaktab.org/a28c3f52268572bb you can also try this firmware.this is the stock firmware that came installed on my box.if you use this one and it loads up ok,if you go onto the update app and check for updates it should say there is a update available.it is just a small update which makes box microsoft playready.whatever that may be.good luck!apologies as it looks like the first link i gave may be just the small update.therefore use link in this post.
