Do not unzip file.and for others trying to recover there boxes using usb burning tool you can have power plug connected as well as the usb to usb cable.maybe it needs it for more power.

HI, sorry for sounding a idiot but how can it recognise it, when it’s a zip folder and not a image file as I can not see it.

the link shows .img at the end.i am downloading the link now and loading onto my usb burning tool to make sure it works.give me a few minutes.ok.this is what i did.download link to pc.click on firmware and archive to pc where it becomes .rar.transfer to desktop.load onto usb burning tool.i am using version 2.0.8.then load onto box.it may take a few tries loading from burning tool.be warned NOT to use overite key on burning tool because you could lose widevine l1 status.

for those having trouble pairing bluetooth remote,i read that you have to use wifi connection for box to connect to remote?once connected you can go back to wired connection.might only apply to boxes with qca9377 wifi module.something to bear in mind.

Hi, just tried the image file in the post 675 and it stops and say 98%:[0x30405004]UBOOT/Partition system/Verify partition/Error result. Time 2.45 statistic 1/1

Edit, all I done was download img and import image while shorting it, using USB burning tool.

If you got to 98%, then your process was correct. Give it a couple more tries, and maybe a different USB port on your computer.

Thank you very much everyone finally got it back to when I got it.
Download img from post 675 and put imagine on to USB burning tool, then I shorted the box using the paper clip while my friend connected the usb to the computer as I already connected the other end to the box.
As it fail last time, when it successfully link between the box and the computer, I put the power lead back in this time and started and all back to when I bought it, WiFi works, DRM level 1 working ??? If I will ever use it and the voice control works too,

Good news!yes like I said sometimes you get error with burning tool but just keep on trying till it works.you can watch Netflix in hd with widevine L1 support.that is if you subscribe to hd package.and of course that it doesn't crash like it did today.

Have anybody any ideas why it’s crashed again ?

Just a update, trying to use USB burning tool now and cannot get past 7%:[0x30201006]UBOOT/Disk initialise/Send command/Time out
have tried over 5 times so far.

That update is messed up, I got stuck on my blue screen due to an ota update itself

It may be you have a fault on the box in which you should try and get replacement sent out.take some pics of the screen to show them.things you can try are use a different usb connection on your pc.usb 2 is better.try another usb to usb cable.shorter the better.connect power supply to your box as well as usb cable.patience is required these boxes are temperamental!does your box get hot?I use a cooling fan under mine.these boxes have thermal issues.try a different power supply if you have one.

I agree with Supermai about trying a different power supply. These boxes usually have pretty good hardware, just the software that causes issues, but the power supply is the weakest link. Since it worked good for a day, then on power up, would not load, could be caused by the power. What devices do you have connected to your box???

Hi, when I installed the img, I installed plex, retoarch,global player, itv hub, (all apps) I was watching global player (IPTV) for about a hour and turn off and went to work, that it, all its connect to is the TV and WiFi. Tried to reinstall the img over 10 time and gets to 7% (formatting) and times out, have tried force erase all. Was probably looking at buying a fan before it fail again because when it work it worked brilliantly.
