That is sad because Videostrong/Mecool were raising the bar, by first installing a semi-official Android TV OS on there select boxes, then all of their boxes. Then they set the standard for including a voice control remote. They are/were kicking the other manufactures butt, that are not following suit......

A few manufactures are starting to follow suit, so Videostrong/Mecool MUST get their act together or they will fall to the wayside.

They should fire who every made the decision to butcher this box. :-)

It is possible, that this box is so popular, they had to find other sources for components....... But this is just a theory, and not based on any facts, just pulling stuff out of my bu*t. Not other logical explanation. And extra cost to implement drivers into the firmware, for those extraneous pieces of hardware that they are substituting......

The app I’m using to get the temp reading I have to close out what I’m doing and open it up to get the reading. It’s not displayed on the screen while kodi or any app is playing. I’m sure that’s fine since it only takes a few seconds to switch over to get the reading.

The CPUtemp app has an overlay setting where it is always on the screen.

I made a cooling stand temperature ranges between 24 and 45 centigrade.easily half of what it was.also swapped out heatsink and used better thermal paste.

I actually had it set to Celsius not Fahrenheit. So it’s a lot hotter than I thought. 183 Fahrenheit is the hottest reading I’ve gotten using kodi. 130’s idling in kodi.

Hope another manufacture makes this same spec box correctly.

Even with the high heat my box hasn’t had any issues.
