1. It doesn't support Chromecast right now.
2. Sleep state, it resets because of low-power design.
3. About it freezes, we have tested and the heat isn't the reason. Please try to restore the factory default settings. And upgrade the firmware as follow:

What are the chances of something like this working on this device with this ROM? I need 5.1 for my 6-ch (3x3.5mm) PC speakers, no DD+ or any HD audio. Comments say it works out-of-the-box on windows/linux/mac. But Android TV, probably not eh?

Make one? Just open a root explorer and copy it from /system/etc/.

If you activate Developer Options by clicking Settings->About->Build 7 times, there should be a "Local terminal" setting there. Once enabled, the Terminal app should show in the App Drawer. (If the drawer is open, you might need to exit and reopen.)

Thanks tonight I'll look at it, on beelink it's simply called active terminal app. How come they do not have the same development? Atv on beelink I find it with more features. Will there be multitasking on the pro L? Thanks so much

You can recall multitasking double pressing the home button.

The difference between the L and the non L version I can see is the DDR4 RAM (instead of DDR3, the S912 asic seems to be the same)

I've a separate set of Nexus custom ROMs for the M8S Pro. They're not interchangeable, even if they're very closely related.

Double pressing works perfectly on my M8S PRO L.

Hi, thanks for the update and for mentioning the known bugs!

About bugs really is a problem of the manufacturer's software, I simply avoid the same as follows:

Temporary Solution:

• On option Powerkey Definition change "Sleep Now" to "Shutdown". This will force you to get accustomed to "new function" of the power key. This way you will only use the key to turn the unit off.
• To use the Chromecast feature use the AirScreen app, it is not as efficient as a Chromecast, but you can use screen mirroring as well as DLNA with a compatible app on your device.

Well these are my tips, in case you know of any other "gambiarra" tell us!
