Changelog (20180109):

• Updated to latest M8S Pro L OEM firmware (20171216.102705.V0928)
• Underlying OEM firmware fixed wake from sleep...but it's taking about 28 seconds. It should only take 2-3 seconds.
• Updated to TWRP Recovery 3.2.1-0 based on latest OEM kernel.
• Latest build from Open GApps (20180109)

Known Bugs:

• Google Cast service works from Chrome browser, but apparently requires Google license to work from Android apps.

Hello I have a problem with the new software from 2018/01/09 When the device is sleeping and I turn it on again, the M8S Pro L tuner does not automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network when I want to connect it manually, it states that the network is out of range and the router is next to it. Another strange mistake in this soft is that when watching movies in high quality, the tuner likes to hang up - in worse quality it's ok.

maybe some new update will exclude these errors

What do you mean by "tuner"? Do you mean the wireless radio?

Hi guys,

I'm new to this PRO L box and when i tried to copy the "SCV1 ATV - Android 7.1.2 (Android TV Version)" to the root of SDCARD and OTA updated it, it booted up to recovery (not TWRP) and gave me an error "failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 on /sdcard for read and write(...)" then i rebooted and it freezed on the Splash MBOX logo... then i unplugged it and nothing appears beside the blue led on the box... What can i do... Why that happened? I follow the instructions to update the rom... Copied the zip into the root of my sd card and choosed OTA update.... I received it today so i've only done this. HELP ME PLS!

Does someone experience freezes when playing 4k 60fps video clips from Youtube ? 4K 30fps working very well, but 60fps freezes after a minute or so.

I asking myself is it a problem with network bitrate (i think 50 mbps or even higher) or is it a problem with unit heating on that high SOC usage materials ?
Dont think so that net is faulty, cause i have 200 mbps link, eventually problem with lan port bandwidth.

I can confirm this. Audio and video was totally out of sync from the beggining and the video froze after about 30 seconds while audio was still playing. There were also some dropped frames at the beggining of the video. This is a freshly flashed device with lan cable connected and downstream of 250 Mbps.

Regular YouTube and Netflix are just fine so yah, this issue seems to be limited to YouTube 4K 60fps.

I already have nexus rom at my tv box... But how to update to the newest version? I tried to push update, but there is no place to click 'choose from file'

Seriously, guys can someone tell me please, how to do OTA update to latest Nexus rom version?

My version is 2017109.180937.V0928 and i want to get newest.
When i try to get system update it showing me androis update and looking for update in web. How to set file to update box?


EDIT:

To do OTA Update you need to

1. Enable Developer Mode
2. Enable terminal
3. Go to App Drawer
4. Select Terminal
5. Tap install
6. Select your zip file

Done

Or you can just run the OTA Updater at Settings->About->System Update. Use the local update option (since I don't have an OTA update server).

Do you have an app called UPDATE or UPDATE&BACKUP? That's what it was called in the stock OEM firmware.
