No, must be implemented into the firmware by Mecool I think which won't happen anytime soon.

You could try deleting /vendor/BreathLeds in TWRP File Manager. I'm guessing that's the APK that drives the pulsing LED, but then you might just be left with some static color set by the bootloader.

It comes with a pure Android TV rom, at least the one that includes the remote control with voice support

If you mean the nexus rom for this (which is the same) there?s no nexus rom yet

Hi, Has anyone been able to check the official Chinese Videostrong website or forums to see if they have intentions to keep KM9 up-to-date at least for a little while. The device seems to have a few firmware issues affecting smooth video or audio playback in Kodi and some live tv apps.

What you buy is what you get, no updates afterwards.
The previous model KM8 came with no updates.
If you look at the Beelink S905x2, it already had 9 updates and Beelink regularly posts changelogs here themselves.
So S905x2 with regular updates from manufacturers can be a very good box but without they are no better than any cheap device.

Is there some firmware which don't have Wifi 2,4GHz problem? ETH and 5,8GHz working fine, but 2,4GHz is a problem.

No, unless Mecool releases an update.
Just make sure it's not a problem on your network settings.

I ve got mine on Friday and first impression is negative ethernet works fine but only 2.4ghz no 5ghz doesn't even show up.
we definitely need an update (mine is 22/11/2018) or else it will be a nice paperweight.

Actually the 5Ghz WiFi band does work on my box, and works better than the Ethernet connection. Also, using firmware version Nov. 22. But that is one of the few redeeming things with this box. It **may** be OK for a 1080p or less TV, that does NOT have a sound system, but not for anyone that has a decent media center. The prior KM8 is far superior to this box.

My wireless router is an Asus RT-AC1900P, and a very good router I might add.

Hi, the 5hz does work but its limited to some 5ghz channels cant remember which but you can change the channel in the router settings

kolinsb Get the ota update a few pages behind if there is the update app present then copy the ota update to microsd and flash hope that helps
