To be honest... I don't know...
Just tried it again after trying Amazon vod... Now it is working!
720p without stutters, but I Really don't need to switch devices!
Still... A little bit more ram would be awesome and a YouTube app that can be controlled by smartphone. Maybe I will look at some of the remotes for kodi...

Can you confirm if the Android 9 firmware is on arm64?

      Thanks,
I just went back to the stock ATV version. Pie is fast, but none of my apps that I use would even install....... Hopefully, Magendanz can use this as a base for his ATV mod....

Edit: I lost my Widevine level 1 when installing this PIE version, but got it back when I went back to the stock Android.

My guess is that this ROM didn't include support for the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). You can have the Widevine L1 keybox in the secure storage, but you still need the TEE to use it. I had the same problem building ROMs based on the Shiningworth multi-ROM on Mecool boxes with Widevine L1.

Just flashed it, It's 32bit only. It's noticeably faster would be a nice base for an atv rom.

If you dont mind me asking why is Widevine L1 on this box important for you, because Netflix is anyway not working right? It will be interesting if we can get Netflix and Amazon Prime phone versions to work on Pie ROM.

I'm still hoping that we can eventually deal with the recent problems with both Netflix and YouTube TV whitelisting only certified boxes, but no matter what the solution we've got to have Widevine L1 for DRM support. They're never going to budge on that.

Amazon Prime uses Microsoft PlayReady, so Widevine is really irrelevant there.

Hi, master, can you prepare this ROM (Android 9.0) as an ATV ROM.

Widevine Level 1 is not really that important for ME, on this box since Netflix in HD is not working for any of these Mecool boxes.

What version of the USB burning tool are you using. I am using 2.1.7.0.

Was using 2.0.8. Tried the 2.1.6 version, still doesn't flash.

These Amlogic S905X2 boxes seem to have a problem with SNR on the USB OTG port. When I first tried ripping the partitions from my KM9, it took a good dozen tries to get a successful read. Upgrading to a better quality braided USB cable with a ferrite core seemed to fix the problem for me, though.

Here's what worked for me: https://www.gearbest.com/cables-conn...298937892.html

Me 2 man. Only way I could overcome this was to tick "erase bootloader"
Then first flash fails at 39% , do it again and it works

I am using my homemade male to male USB 2 cable (thick cable, not sure the wire size), and connect to a powered USB 2 hub. The accessible front USB ports on my computer do not provide enough power to enable the burning. Also, if I am trying a different ROM that has a different bootloader, I enable the "erase bootloader", otherwise I don't. Occasionally, I find some devices that are stubborn, so I have to do the process several times, enabling and disabling the "erase bootloader" box.

I was running the USB burning tool version, 2.16, and it had difficulties, tried version 2.1.7 and it burned on first try with the "erase bootloader" enabled.
