Try with the usb burning tool 2.1.6.8 or the 2.17.0 !

I have the same problem?! Only get to 3% and then B12_boot stage error. Iam using the latest USB burning tool. Have tried different roms, different computers, but can’t get this to work:/

The manufacturer released a new pie update that includes the lower navigation bar, but it seems unfinished and unpolished. The navigation bar stays white/transparent regardless, even on a white page, making it barely visible. There's notification shade and they removed the traditional android settings app and only include the somewhat limited settings app. I didn't proceed to setup the box as that was enough to make me go back to segej's N5Max port with upper and lower bars. There's some minor issues with the port, none of which affect me, so that's what I'll stick with for now.

Give us more details about your tv box...!
What it says on the Build?
Maybe it's lpddr3 version!

Thanks for the qick reply! I think I have a lpddr3 version, I tried the new Pie release that was mentioned in this thread. The “b” version didn’t work but the other one did! Think it was the “A” release, if I understand it means I have a lpddr3? But does this mean that I can’t install any other rom? Would really like to install any of segej's ATV ports.....

Iam on the new Android 9 and Iam trying to root the device with Magisk, but I can’t get it to work?! Downloaded Magiska manager and press “direct install”. Everything works and I reboot the device, but Magisk manager still tells me that Magiska isn’t installed?

Side-question: What ROMs do work with H96 max x2 4/32 ddr3?

The stock rom is already rooted by some chinese root, which prevents magisk usage. there is no workaround for this till date.

Thanks for the answer! Do you know if there is a rom for my device on Android Oreo with the possibility to use Magisk? When I got the device I think i used Magisk, but I haven’t found a Oero version that worked with ddr3?!

really? I had this issue with h96mini S905w. Magisk quit installation saying "bootimage patched by unknown program"

Hello i bought a H96 Max x2 (4gb ram, 32gb rom) 2 months ago from Banggood. It came with android 9.0. Today i saw that there is brand new October firmware from the company. I used Device Info HW to see my system in order to choose the right update. I saw u214 on board info so i should use u214 rom (8DDR3 version) right ? First time i see this firmware version so i don't think i can identify the real version of your tv box!
But i can say with sure that till now the 4/32 tv box from banggood was an lpddr3 version!
And also , i'm sure that these things are changing time to time!
So , i think you should try both of the 2 versions and give us the ... results!
Don't worry nothing will be happened if you try the wrong version...!
Just flash the other one and everything will be ok!
