Thanks for your continued work on this!

I tried that one also and was stable but I noticed that although my first antutu was 20900, I repeated a few more times and only get around 18000. It seems the peak fps on the final 3d graphics dropped from 20 to about 10. Probably this one is on the limit for my CPU.

Same problem i have. Is your device laggy in normal use as well?

          Very strange!
          I will test it tomorrow.
I didn't use antutu to test these kernels

It's not only antutu in my case. I noticed directly after boot that the tab is totally laggy with this kernel. In antutu there are 2 tests noticeably different with this kernel: 3d and i/o speed. Both around half of the result of my normal kernel

              Same here

              Hi Giouncino,

Got same results as users above.
Antutu is giving me a 17986 points with the 1.7/600/744 GPS 1.2 kernel and tablets seems a bit laggy.

No stability issues so far (about 2 hrs)

I just ran antutu 3 times in a row and got 20677, 20624, and 20842 in that order. Before I began I killed all tasks and cleaned the cache with ES Task killer.

                    Hm. That's odd....

                      I'm having 17900 points too...
                      quite strange.
It is due to 3D tests, but I didn't change anything about the GPU part....

I will investigate deeper in the next days...

For the moment happy Easter to everyone!

                      E U R E K A!!!!!

On settings, disable "developer options" (the row before "tablet information") and all come back to full performance!
I'm now having again 21.000 points in antutu!!!!

but this doesn't explain the reason for that. where is there difference in the scripts for jelly bean and kitkat kernel?

i still don't understand, why this developer options is important for one kernel, but not for the other one

Actually the question should be: why with stock kernel the Developer options are enabled by default?
On a perfectly working device it shouldn't be necessary...
So, in my opinion, is a very good news if we disable the development options!
(i think that the real problem in development options is "force GPU rendering" that is enabled on stock roms from JB)

i tried that, and it gave me no difference, still 18000 antutu-points, ram speed, 3d and storage i/o is pathetic, the whole system is laggy.

with your older script modified for m7pro on the new kernel after reflashing instantly fluid and smooth.

but what kind of gps change you made in this script? my gps seemed to be as weak as before...

You do not have a m6pro!
Your results cannot be compared to ours. That's why disabling "developer options" is useless for you!

The script itself doesn't change anything about GPS.
The kernels I've posted are generated with new source files.

Ah, i see... now i got you. Any possibility to modify the kernel i sent you via email in this way or do you think this is useless as well on m7pro?
