      its 720p upscaled like the old devices mk802III used this method till Finless sorted it out
      Try this application see what results you get

      Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4

      I get

      Screen resolution: 1280 x 672
      Scale = 1
      Pixels/inch = 160

      So judging from this and what XBMC tells me, then this is 720p and not 1080p.

        Does Rii mini i8 keyboard works ok with t-r42 and wasser firmware?

        Sorry for "out of focus" question, I would like to ask if Rii mini i8 keyboard+touchpad works ok with this device ? Does someobody owns it and wants to tell others the Pros, Cons? Thank you for your answer.

          Report

          Hello Herzie,

          Here is a repost ....

          Hi guys!
          I sincerely hope wasser forgive me for this trick
          For those who want to make their 1080p feature be visible with some kind of tests or XMBC system info screen, I would recommend to do this simple change in build.prop:
          - in line
          video.use.overlay=1 change argument 1 to 0.
          In case font size and icons become too small for your tired eyes:
          ro.sf.lcd_density=160 change argument 160 to 240.
          Don't forget to provide build.prop file with same permission after saving (rw-r--r--).
          Now AnTuTu will show you 1920x1080 screen resolution .
          .
          Good luck!

          And All will see the system is truly 1080p...(((SMILES))) including these test ...

          Enjoy

            Hi Michael,

            Thx for your reply.

            Guess I still have a lot to learn it life, huh?

            But thank you for this info. If I get the time I will play around with it, but all things considered I'm pretty happy with what it is now

                yes I did, and that made it work nicely with XBMC. BUT I don't seem to be able to make it come back up when inside an app. So no multitask button, home etc. So I'm left having to right click the mouse to make it go back to home screen. Is there a way to make it pop up when inside an app?

                  Herzie

                  Herzie,

                  Short Answer No ...

                  I use the Home button on my USB air mouse/keyboard or On My Remote that came with the unit ..

                  Look into Keyboard Layouts and make sure Your Home key is set to go home ...

                  Mine works Fine ...

                              Hi Michael T.

                              Maybe you can explain if I am doing something wrong, but if I run XBMC and play a 1080p video then if I click the video settings icon while the movie is playing and then from the settings choose 'original size' in the View mode, then the picture blows up bigger than my screen! It only does that on 1080p movies. If I do it on 720p movies then 'original size' does nothing. Do you see what I'm trying to say? And the behavious is the same regardless of setting 720p or 1080p in the Android system settings. I can't get my head around it.

                              I will try your trick though later when I get home and see if that changes anything.

                              -LC

                                I get this "overscan" like behavior too, but only in XBMC. This doesn't happen with bs player.
