I'll open mine again and take high res pictures of the chips. Just curious what warranty sticker is there? I didn't notice anything.

CWM Recovery for T-R42

Hi wasser i have been trying to flash cwr but i can't get it to work i was usinnnnng flash tool 1.3.7 as stock tool can't support parts have you got a clockwork recovery that works a cwrrr update please

i uploaded new cwm recovery, it should work on t-r42. Could you please test and reports the results!

Waaser-Testing

Hello Wasser,

First: I re-flashed Your 1.2.3 T-R42 Image...(Clean)

Restart Player.

Second I used the 1.37 Flash Tool You gave us with Your 1.2.2 Images ...

Flashed Recovery image Worked Fine ...

I used The Reboot App to Restart in Recovery Mode ...

The Player Restarted Fine and I can See The Menu ...

But NONE of My Remotes Work ... I Have 2 Different USB Air Keyboard/Mouses and One Optical None of them Work ...

I do See a Nice Screen showing Android Recovery <3e>

Then I walk away and the System Rebooted by itself ... (80 seconds or So )

I came Back and Shut it off and Restart and used the Button on Bottom of player
to Start Recovery and Now The USB Air Mouse/Keyboard Works but NOT the Optical ...

I am waiting to see if it reboots again ...

nope. only checkboxed recovery.img

soo.. i have fresh installed 1.2.3 and then with the tool from 1.2.2 i flashed the recovery.

no cwm - only black screen

i have boardversion 2.0 to
good to see where the problem is but i still have another problem which makes me cry
i used the same drivers as for the flash of the 1.2.2 version
but now, after the flash the box doesnt accept the drivers anymore
tried on 3 computers, one win8 and two win7

and as long as i know this box has a rk3188 chip
so why it now shows me rk3066 in my hardwaremanager and want drivers for it?

i dont know what i should do anymore, used drivers from different sources and the driver autoinstaller of rockchip... nothing.....

please help me

I have the original old revision T-R42. It works flawlessly with Wasser 1.2.3. However, I recently ordered two more T-R42's. They are version / revision 2.0 and now both will not boot with Wasser firmware 1.2.3. Hopefully, Wasser can create a new firmware for the new 2.0 revisions.

info for recovery flash:
1 download the new t-r42 cwm-recovery image
2 unzip the 1.2.2 firmware
3 launch RKAndroidTool.exe and only select misc image (it's included in 1.2.2 zip file) and recovery image
4 change address for recovery to: 0x00014000
5 click flash

could you please attach gpio debug log from stock kernel with wifi and bluetooth enable? it's very important to make wifi and bluetooth working.
Please take a look at the url how to get the gpio debug log.

Wasser -Testing

Testing:

1) Reflashed 1.2.3 Firmware and Restarted Player
2) Follow Below Instructions

A) Player Will NOT restart LED on Button Turns Off
B) Plugged Player Blue LED turns on for 30 seconds and Then turns off
C) Player Will NOT Boot ...

NOTE: Player Booted Fine When Flashing Just Recovery image at Default Location:
With Botton on buttom of player and Does NOT boot Correctly with Reboot App..

Test Results Complete.
