Recommended audio settings for DTS playback using XBMC or other video player?

Thanks for the feedback, might be an issue with my NFS or my QNAP, still testing...

Anyhow, I have a questions regarding audio settings. I have a 7.1 Denon X4000 receiver and I would like to play back HD DTS and True HD sound over HDMI.

What settings are reommended for this? I'm normally using passthru audio setting but that does not seem to work with XBMC. I configured XBMC to use HDMI and I set speakers to 5.1 system but all I get is noise when playing back a DTS movie. Addtionally I can't configure passthru in the system audio settings of XBMC, it says that it couldn't detect a passthru device.

Anyone having the same problem or having a similar setup working?

    Thanks,
    niewi

What is the difference between the old and new old kernel. I have a B351_V2.0 board.

I have never flashed one of these units before.
Since I have 1080p TV do I just change 2 lines on RKAndroidtool to

      1) boot-1080p.img
      2) kernel-1080p-t-r42-new.img (new or old ?)

Will the application ask me for a parameter ?

        new one is for v2.
You have to change name of files
        from:
        1) boot-1080p.img
        2) kernel-1080p-t-r42-new.img (new or old ?)

        to
        1) boot.img
        2) kernel.img

        and run application...

No need to change the file names... just navigate to the ones you want to use in the program.

Audio Passthru is not working with 1.2.4

            Hi Again,

after testing all day using different combinations of the boot and kernel images for the old board I give up. Passthru is not working for me with 1.2.4. I just flashed the old 1.2.3 version and everything works fine using the standard video player and passthru, even True HD playback.

I tested using a Denon X4000, Yamaha V771 and my LG 3D monitor with DTS decoder. The only output I got with 1.2.4. when using passthru over HDMI, optical or 5.1 channel setting was noise and even that was still in PCM 2 channel mode.

Would be great if someone else can confirm the problem...

            Cheers,
            niewi

The version 1.2.4 is the best to date. XBMC in this version also the best. I have no issue streaming 1080/720 movies Enough said!

I'm having a problem with this rom, mainly performance. When I go to XBMC and look at the system info under video I see the FPS hover around 20-30fps, which makes media being played look like its stuttering. I checked out my K-R42 old, and Minix X7 both were locked at 60 though sometimes they did go higher. I'm running this on a T-R42 V2. Any suggestions?

you can use them, but i recommend to not use them if you don't have any problem with playing of fullhd video
