    New version

From the messages here it seems there must be a new version out of the T-R42 with different hardware. When you have one of those new boxes then the current firmware here will not work for you (no BT, no WiFi, no Eth).

Maybe wasser can build a version that works for the new box, but he will need a dmesg output from stock firmware. To get that, flash the correct stock firmware that works with your box, then root your box, and then in a terminal run su followed by a dmesg > /mnt/sdcard/dmesg.txt Afterwards attach the dmesg.txt to a message here. Hopefully wasser can then help you.

      Batch Tool and flashing t-r42

While flashing Wasser's Rom I made a mistake. Instead of pushing the "Restore" Button i pressed the "Upgrade" Button. Now the Box doesn't start anymore. I flashed back with "Restore" the original Rom, but the Box does not start. I only have the blue Light and cannot switch off the box.
Are there any Hints, what i can do?

My box sometimes does not start properly. The blue light is on, HDMI gets a signal, but no Android. Or sometimes the blue light is on, but no HDMI. I don't know why it happens sometimes, but I resolve it by taking the power off at the back, then leave it off for a while. Then start it again. That usually does the trick. A couple of times this hasn't worked though, and I've had to play around with reset, power and the power lead at the back in various combinations to get it going again!

I made the same mistake but nothing wrong happened, because box has bootloader triggering by button.
I suppose You use Firmware which doesn't suite for Your box. When You used Wasser 1.2.3 and You have PCB v2.0 Your box will not run, try OFW from veclinux (http://pan.baidu.com/s/1f7pYV)

Thx so much, I'm back again into Stock-Rom. That works.
So I might have PCB v2.0 (how can I find this out?). Ahh I see, I have to open the Box ;-(
Now I wonder how to get Xbmc on this Device (T-R42)

                i have boardversion 2.0 to
good to see where the problem is but i still have another problem which makes me cry
i used the same drivers as for the flash of the 1.2.2 version
but now, after the flash the box doesnt accept the drivers anymore
tried on 3 computers, one win8 and two win7

and as long as i know this box has a rk3188 chip
so why it now shows me rk3066 in my hardwaremanager and want drivers for it?

i dont know what i should do anymore, used drivers from different sources and the driver autoinstaller of rockchip... nothing.....

                please help me

Have you tried completely uninstalling it in your hardware manager, and then plugging the box back in your PC, making sure you are pressing the reset button on your box until you hear the Windows new hardware sound?

after every try i completly removed the device and uninstall the drivers

Does anyone have the original firmware for the new version?

Right now, I have no ethernet, bluetooth or wi-fi, and none of the firmwares I have tried fix this. In fact most of them break the display too. I need one to restore it to.

                        skype

                        Hello,
i installed latest version of skype on my T-R42 with stock firmware and webcam logitech c270:
when i do a video call with my ipad or my notebook (running windows 7),
very often skype tries to open the window but then it stops and crashes on the T-R42,
showing in the down right corner of the screen 'skype not connected'

I dont know on what this depends,
i am wondering if the latest custom firmware by wasser solves this problem

Did someone test skype videocall with latest wasser custom firmware?
I read somewhere that skype 3.2 version is working better... is it true?

                        Thanks!

Yes, the best way is open box, but if You dont have a warrianty seal and if You manage to open box to take a foto of chips Wasser asked - it will be very helpfull to suite 1.2.3 to our 2.0 version

It's no problem, You have to:
                          1. Download justxbmc on pendrive and plug into box
                          2. Settings => Security => and check "unknown sources"
                          3. Run appinstaller and browse xbmc from pendrive
                          and thats all.

Thanks for answer, i read to get this log i have to type in terminal emulator:
                            su
                            dmesg>/sdcard/dmesg.txt

but after typing su i got error: "uid10062 not allowed to su"

                            Veclinux,
Could You do one more favour?
I can't open my box because warranty seal. You wrote that You have just opened Your box, Could You write down name of chips Wasser asked?
Wasser's firmware works many times faster that OFW, so i think many people would like to have it.
it looks like your adroid box is not rooted!
