Tried wasser 1.2.3 (T-R42), HFW 1.2.1/2.0.4 (didn't know it was K-R42 only) and even the stock rom from geekbuying.com doesn't boot.
The only ROMs that boot are justXBMC 1.1.1 and wasser 1.2.2 (T-R42) but neither Ethernet nor Wifi can't be enabled.

thanks in advance for any advice.

      Hi,

I've got similar problem. It was caused by the default resolution set to 1080p that my HDReady TV was unable to display (it's capable of displaying 1080i only). Solution was simple. I've connected the TVBox to the TV in another room that is Full HD, switched resolution to 720p and connected it back to the HDReady TV. Now it works flawlessly.

So if your TV is unable to display a full HD content that may be a reason.

      Best regards.

        hey mrluck,

        thanks for your reply.
        i'm connecting to a fullhd (1080p) tv, so i don't think that's the problem over here ...
i'm trying now to flash back to the stock rom from geekbuying.com, and see what happens ...

        best regards

I just tested your suggestion although I already hooked it up to a full hd TV.
I tried three different TVs (all FullHD) and one 4" car monitor via cinch always the same, first the screen is black and then it says "no signal"
Tested it with the current wasser 1.2.3 firmware

            hello sare,

I'm trying to find a solution to fix this problem.
I already tried different rom's, 1.2.2 is working, but without ethernet & wifi, 1.2.3 does not boot, even the stock rom from geekbuying.com is not booting, but a chinese rom (for k-r42) is working (wifi works, ethernet doesn't)
            link chinese rom: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1h64iL

i'm catching a glimp of an error message while tvbox is installing 1.2.2 version, can't mount /recovery, /data, ... but after a while it continues installing and it boots up ...

version 1.2.2 needs to be installed with another installer than 1.2.3 (seperate img files for kernel, boot, system, ... <> 1 big img file). could this be anything?

very mysterious it is ... i hope we can find a solution.
resolution is in my opinion not a possible cause of this issue, since some of the roms do work ...

            regards
            Kris

                That's exactly what I thought.
I unpacked the 1.2.3 img and installed the separate files with the 1.2.2 installer, same result, no boot.
I even installed the 1.2.3 system.img with the 1.2.2 isntaller and the rest of the files (kernel.img etc.) from 1.2.2, only difference was that CWM Recovery worked, but not the system itself.

                When did you buy yours?
Maybe we have a new revison.
                Ordered mine on November 26th.

Today I received my t-r42 ordered from Geekbuing on 11/16, delivered on 11/18, and 1.2.3 works OK over HDMI, but it did not work over RCA (I don't use RCA, so it's not a problem for me).
I made a backup of the stock partitions before I flashed the 1.2.3 rom, let me see if I can upload it anywhere so you can test it.

Sorry guys, but my upload speed/stability is just crap; my uploads keeps stoping before they finish. The good news is that this ROM works perfectly with my device, meybe you can test it.

Sorry again for the upload fiasco

                                Hello,
I had the same issues as yours with the t-r42 not booting but I manage to make it work by letting it hooked up by USB with the computer that performed the flashing. I then try to unplug the cable, and the device shut down, and when I plugged it again, it was working, even plugged on an other computer.
So finally, I have my t-r42 connected to a powered usb hub and it's working.
I hope this can help you.
