T-R42 - wasser firmware - JB Android 4.2.2

it looks like your adroid box is not rooted!

i tried to root with TPSparkyRoot.bat but i have unknown devices error.
I also use Moborobo to detect and install driver but it display message that box isn't in develop usb mode though i checked this option in settings. Is it any way to root ?

I really would like to help to solve problem with 2.0 board

I have a problem with init.d scripts, none of them works. When I execute the scripts from therminal they work ok, but on boot none of the scripts work.
I'm testing with very simple script, like:

#!/system/bin/sh
dmesg > /mnt/sdcard/dmesg.txt

and the permissions are OK to (root:root 777), but it seems that there is no way to make this scritps to work.

Anyone else have this problem?

As far as I know, the init.d scripts runs after all the hardware is initialized, and after all the entries in vold.fstab are mounted. Also, this same scripts run fine in my Pipo M8Pro.
Actually, this is not the script that I need to run on startup, but I'm testing with this one because is more simple than the actual needed script.

Edit: I made another test with this script


#!/system/bin/sh
touch /testscript


and it didn't work either. Does anyone use a script in init.d?

Just tested a simple init.d script that touches a file in /data/local/tmp and that works fine. I tried writing to /mnt/sdcard as well, and that did not work. Must not be mounted at init.d execution time? And your script above tries to write to / which is mounted ro ...

As for rooting your device wasser is going to post a new ROM this weekend and that will be already Rooted

I flashed 1.2.3 onto a new T-R42 box that I received and for some reason I'm getting no video after flashing. It said that the flashing process was done correctly but unfortunately I'm getting no video. Is this a known bug or is there a fix? I'm using an HDMI connection.

different people already reported the same problem as you described, so am I ...

Thanks for the reply. I really hope something can be done, the stock software is so bad even by cheap chinese hardware standards. I have 6 of these boxes incoming, is there anything I can do to help with the process to get the rom compatible with this hardware?

I'm also having lots of problems with stock software (and xbmc):
* no 720p/1080p playback
* no SPDIF audio (i am using bose lifestyle surround system)

i hope wasser can find a solution so the rom is compatible ...

not sure if he needs more info?
