how i install the kernel for v2?

First I will install the firmware without kernel for B351_V2.0
and after I will install the 1080p/720p kernels for new revision???

Sound problem - 1.2.5 and kitkat 0.95 - both have sound cutting in and out issues

Hi Wasser, First of all, I want to Sincerely thank you for your hard work, dedication and for helping us out as well as adding excitement to our hobbies.


I have flashed 1.2.3 and 0.92 kitkat - did not work well for me (Wifi problems).


flashed 1.2.4 - ok but not perfect - sound problem and slow Wifi.


flashed 1.2.5 and 0.95 kitkat - running fast and smooth for both but the sound problem still persists.


I replaced libmedia.so as you suggested to another user but no luck.
I flashed 0.95 with the sound fix - did not boot.


The sound problem - randomly the sound would cut in and out constantly, for about 2 seconds (in 1 minute 10 to 25 times) with like a "drrrpp" sound (like when you plug a mic in).


TV - panasonic viera 50" 1080p (plasma).
T-R42 - B351_V2.0 - RK1000-S, RTL8201F, SKhynx chip.


Please help resolve this issue - i am pretty sure im doing something wrong as most people are not complaining.

UPDATE: i tried on LG 720p TV and it worked perfectly. I tried on pioneer 1325 amplifier..perfect. So i played with Panasonic TV sound setup thinking it may be the TV sound no change at all and ruled out TV as problem. I started playing with resolution on T-r42 (i initially flashed 1080p then 720p) changed to full 1080 ..sound problem..full 720P and same sound issues..then changed to the lower 720P (720 x 480..i think) and it almost disappeared, sound cut out once ..in every 3 to 4 mins. What could be the problem?

All, Has anyone had issues with the video staying in sync with the new firmware. I just purchased 2 t-r42 units and they seem to stay displaying video for a few minutes then the screen goes black and then reappears ...any thoughts that I can do to resolve this issue. I tried the old revision firmware and it did the same thing but then started working ok...but Bluetooth and wireless did not work....using the 1080p kernel and boot. It also seemd like there was artifacting during the boot when I first flashed it

I have the same issue with v2.0 and 720p kernel and boot
Sceen keeps turning black every some seconds and then its back on. Endless loop. Also tested lewy rom same result. Did not find any solution yet. Anyone that can help please do

I have re-installed firmware with kernel an boot again with 720p and same issue screen is blacking out. I played a little with the resolution options amd after setting it to 1920x1080 50hz it stopped blinking.

Of my colleagues are upgrading their T-R42 rom to your device, but apparently this geekbuying V3.X putting plates on the new models, so they are having compatibility problems.

Are you going to get any rom to fix at least compatibility with v3.2?

Same problem here.Just got today a couple new T-R42 boxes and found out that there is a new boardversion B351_V3.2.

Spent half a day reflashing and wondering why it is not working properly with this firmware. Opened one up and there it was. Why did they have to change it again

Another colleague has posted freacktab me in another thread where download a compatible ROM V3.2 FOR PLATES.

I can say it works 100% tested 10 minutes ago.
