AHello MK809III Users,

After a Lot of People having Trouble run my Hybrid Rom on this Device,
I decided to split it off.

Here is now the Custom Rom for all Versions off the MK809III,
this means it run on Hardware Version 1,2,3.
This is a 720p Rom if you want 1080p set video.overlay=1 in Build.prop

What is inside ?

A Complete Custom Rom for the MK809III without China Apps.
The Rom´s comes with a Patched Kernel for better Performance.
If you have Problems with the Kernel please Install Kernel2. img.
This Kernel is in the Packet.
Also included are the newest Wi-Fi Driver for Best performance.

What Software is included ?

Google 4.4 Launcher
Android 4.4 Fonts
Android 4.4 Boot Animation
SPMC Media Center (XMBC Fork)
Open Explorer
Netflix
SuperUser
Terminal Emulator
Init.d Support

Have Fun with my new Rom for the MK809III.
After Flash on the First Run wait 5 Minutes before you shutdown the Stick.
This is needed that all Software will be installed.

Hi Neomode,

Once again thanks for great work, is there a version for old wifi mk802IV? Or can I take old kernel from your version 1.5 and just replace system.img etc from this ROM and flash?

System Inestability and Video Playback Problems that makes the 1.9 ROM almost unusable with my CX-919

I was using your 1.8 ROM in my CX-919 without problems, only some very little issues like:

1-NAND UnMount (automatically ), every time unplug a USB Memory Stick.
2-BlueTooth never Worked

Apart from the above little problems, with the 1.8 ROM My CX-919 never Crashed, Freezed or Reset, and All the APPs had worked excelent!


Now after installing the new 1.9 ROM, I am having to many Serious Problems that makes the 1.9 ROM almost unusable:


1-Video playback is worse than with 1.8 ROM. Jerky Video with Frame Skipping.


2-Inestability system looks/freezes.


3-Some APP don't start or crash.


4-Netflix only work using Kernel2 (Not with the kernel and Kernel1), but with Jerky Video and Frame Skipping, sometimes Crashed or closes the movie screen and revert to the info screen after watching a movie for about 10-15 minutes.


5-No 1080 option, after using Build.prop #1


6-XBMC Audio sync Problems.


7-SuperUser APP sometimes don't give permission to APP to start.


I would like to add, that flashed my CX-919 3 times, using the 3 differents Kernels, but apart from Netflix (that only works with the Kernel2), I really don't noticed any other big differences between these 3 Kernel files... With any of the 3 Kernels my CX-919 Boot, woks and feels the same.

The Good thing in this 1.9 ROM, is that apparently Boot, Wifi and BlueTooth, all are now working extremelly fast!!

I also noticed that the KitKat Launcher don't looks and feel/work as Smooth like the original Google launcher, don't have the little Screen Position DOTS (at the bottom) and the Widget Screen is not the same.

I Agree with styl3r... Your v1.8 rom was working ok in my CX-919, Video playback was excellent, Netflix worked extremelly Fast and Smooth, XBMC APP was fine, and the only problem was that BlueTooth was Not working, so think I also will go back to the 1.8 ROM, until all these little problems are corrected.

Thanks Neomode, for all your big efforts. Really hope that you could have some time to fix these little errors, so we can start using the 1.9 ROM!

Is it possible for you to include a CIFS.KO for NFS support for my CX919?
I don't see anyone but me asking about it, but I think it would be a great addition for streaming movies etc.
Since SMB had a lot of overhead, video playback stutters more then necessary. I believe NFS support is the answer for this problem. I hope others will back this up!

There is a rom for the same chipset with NFS support, but I'm not sure it will work with the CX919:

I also would like to see NTFS support for the CX-919!

I dont know if it works or Not, but there is an APP at GooglePlay called Paragon NTFS that apparently mounts NTFS...

About the ArcTablet ROM, I am not sure, but think it should work with our C-919...

I've tried to force video to 1080p with 1 value and screen was make crazy scenes.. so I must reformat the stick...

Hi,
i´m flashed 1.9.
Everythink works fine on my 809III.
BT Wifi works perfect.
Passthrough works with MX Player on HW (not HW+ !!!) decoder.
With SPMC and XBMC (patched) it won´t work.
I´m trying to get a solution for this.

You have a old one with Realtek Wifi.
Go to Neomode Hybrid Rom for old Wifi.

I hope you were able to locate and fix all the little problems that apparently all 1.9 ROM users have experienced, such as System Malfunction, SuperUser APP "Erratic Behavior" and Netflix/XBMC Video playback lock errors...


If not too much to ask, could you please check what is happening with the Build.prop 0 and 1, which should switch from 720 to 1080, but here all say it has not worked?


Anxious waiting for the 1.9a, to start testing immediatelly and see if now works better.


I think that we all really appreciate all your big efforts and selfless+Hard work to make the best ROM for our CX-919 TV Stick!!

I have the same mk809iii. I flashed the rom without touching anything andit worked for me. maybe if you flash it again it will work...
