So I thought let's give it a go, wouldn't hurt. And I can say major improvement on xbmc with this kernel. Still frodo stable and spmc updated KitKat version not so good, but slightly better than previous kernel. Gotham nightly works like a charm on this kernel, on previous kernel it would crash. Thx.

I have produced a kernel for AP6210 (some MK908 variants - sorry I don't understand the variants) to test native 1080 desktop. It is mildly overclocked (1.7 GHz CPU and 667 DDR). If you are happy to flash non-standard test kernels then give it a go and report back. I don't have any AP6210 equipment to test it myself.
It's worth mentioning I removed the HDMI frequency fix on this build so it should use EDID to get TV capability.

Wifi doesn't work :-(
Tried this new rom on my CX919 v 2.0. Unfortunatly I can't connect using wifi. The stick detects my router, but when I try to connect it fails 'authentication problem'. Or when it does connect, it disconnects in seconds. Tried differend kernals including the stock one from the kitkat_oc_kernels.zip file. When I use the 4.4.2 rom from geekbuying there's no problem.
I've opened the casing:
It's an AP6210 chip so I guess it should work.
Any idea's would greatly be appeciated...
Cheers

Geekbuying has uploaded a working ROM for the original MK908 v1 here - http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...nd-v3-version/. FinlessBob, could you please patch the kernel to native 1080 ?

Thanks.

Thanks Bob
Bob,
I flashed kitkat on my cx-919 with AP6210 wifi chip. This has cured my flickering screen problem but the wifi speed is super slow. Tested other roms all have the flickering problem with great wifi speed.
I cracked open the case and confirmed AP6210 on the chipset CX919 V2.0.
Any ideas?
Gorgeous look by the way, I love this KitKat rom compared to all others you have created.

downgraded
I used the KitKat bootloader to erase my cx-919 after unsuccessfully trying Bob's newest rom.
Due to poor network connectivity I downgraded to:
Everything was zippy again on the network speed. After getting it up and running I reinstalled XBMC which worked without video blinking issues:
Good luck with the ROM and I do hope it gets the few kinks worked out.
