When flashing finless make sure you're flashing the bootloader included in the zip and make sure you erase your flash.

I think i may have found my problem.. it looks like every time I try to erase my nand it never actually fully erase's.

Is there any way to force erase the entire nand?

That's strange it could be the same as the a928 issue. Try installing that ROM with a kernel from my signature.

Do you have a link to the thread with the a928 issue? Also i dont think that setup will work, if I cant erase all the nand I dont think I can write to it either.

Is Erase NAND (IDB) the same as LowerFormat?

Got into mask rom mode flashed finless 1.7a and now stuck on the finless patched kernel boot screen?

I have the exact same problem with my CS968. Frequent blackouttes spoil my show.

I have tried many of Tech1's ROM's and even CR11s latest 4.4.2 ROM. Still the same issue persists.

Which 4.4.2 ROM are you using? Is there a link?

Unfortunely I didn't installer the 4.4.2 ROM yet.. I'm still using the Finless 1.5a ROM...
The antutu scored 18000 (versus the 15900 with the original stock rom)... the games are going smooth and is working fine...(XBMC, emulators). The only problem is flickering on my HT.
For now i'm cheating the problem using the samsung and LG tv.. that don't have flickering.
Sorry for not helping you. I'm still finding courage to flash the 4.4.2 finless rom.. becoz a lot of users report sluggish UI, and not always correction of the flickering and black-out problem (I only have this problem with the Sony's HT: BDV-E985W)..
