i have hacked libmedia.so for pasthrough support in xbmc, Please test and let me know if it works for you!
i plan to add it in 1.0.3 release.

You have to replace in system/lib the existing libmedia.so with this new one. (override it)

1.open EsFile explorer/enable root acces and click on it/ change permissions to rw
2.overiride the libmedia.so file from system/lib with the new one. After you'll override the file the X7 will semi reboot. Don't worry, it's fine.
3.go back to root access-permissions and change them back as they initially where.

Use a custom XBMC with passthrough enabled. You'll find a link for it a few posts above.

Tested in XBMC this config.: HDMI cable from X7 to TV and optical from TV to Logitech 5.1 and I had no sound with my DTS test file. Radio, you tube, video with 2.0 audio work.

I normally have the X7 connected directly to the 5.1 by optical cable and with this config DTS works excellent.

The HDMI config was just for tests.It detects passthrough , when I try to move the volume bar with the minix remote it says passthrough detected, but no sound.

I have replaced a lib inside /system/lib the minix reboot but not restart.

I have restarted by cable (pull out & pull in) but nothing black screen

PS: Reflash 1.0.2, copied file lib... minix black screen ;(

The libmedia.so hack works using hdmi, I tested it and works great in spdif pass through, I can't test HDMI pass through because I don't have a receptor with HDMI capable.

Take care with permissions of the filebif you copy it. It must have rw-r--r--

Foldermount backup fix:
used SQLite dateabase browser (ubuntu) to edit my foldermount backup "pairs.db" and changed source to
"/storage/emulated/0/"

Then restored revised backup and all is good!

ES File explorer problem

The latest version of ES file explorer grabs my ext USB disks and shows them on the side bar
but then rejects them as wrong format - must be FAT32 (they are NTFS)

I have had to regress the ES programme to the embedded version
and turn off wi-fi to stop updates

I also notice that the 1.0.1 kernel only allows one USB disk to be attached at a time

Except that, mine shows "WASSER" before going to black screen.

2. Sound is not smooth while playing music. It is period broken.
